I ordered a pizza that was supposed to have nduja on it. When it came out it had salami instead. We asked the waitress and when she came back she said they ‘were sent the wrong ingredient from the supplier’ and that the nduja was ‘in the salami’ and I ‘could have some nduja on the side’ if I want. She brought out a bit of uncooked nduja on a side plate. We thought about it for a bit and it just felt off. How can you not have any but also have some??? After some back and forth, it transpired that the chef had accidentally put the wrong ingredient on the pizza and instead of just saying so, the chef/manager told the waitress to lie to us. If I’d been offered a fresh pizza from the start I honestly would have said don’t bother to avoid waste. It wasn’t a big deal but they made it into a big deal. We were offered 10% off the pizza in the end…
Another time I ate here there were 2 young women sitting at a table and 2 waiters sat by their table and were talking to them for most of their meal. Felt pretty creepy, the girls were giving short answers and looked uncomfortable.
The food isn’t good enough to make me want to come back after my...
Read moreIf you’re in Axminster and looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Belluno is the place to be. From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. But the real standout here is the food.
The lasagne was absolutely divine—layers of perfectly cooked pasta, rich, flavorful meat sauce, and melted cheese that just oozed in every bite. It was comfort food at it’s finest, yet elevated in a way that only a truly talented chef can achieve. Every bite was better than the last, and I couldn’t get enough.
And then there was the tiramisu. Let me just say, it’s a must-try. Light, creamy, and with just the right balance of coffee and sweetness, it was the perfect way to end the meal. It felt like a little piece of Italy right in the heart of Axminster.
The service was impeccable, too. Abby was our server, and she truly made the experience special.
Belluno has definitely earned it’s spot as the best restaurant in Axminster. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and experience this hidden gem. You won’t be...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with my family recently and we had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious everything was full of flavour and beautifully presented, but the desserts were the real highlight for me. I loved them!
Our waitress, Hasal (if I remember her name correctly. she had half black half blonde hair), was so helpful and kind. We were about to order garlic bread and pizza, but she explained the garlic bread was a big portion and might make it hard to enjoy the pizza fully. We really appreciated the advice and went for pasta instead – and it was the perfect choice! She also told us the place is pet friendly, which was a lovely bonus.
The wine was great, the staff worked very well together, and the building itself had a unique and charming design. We all enjoyed our visit and will definitely be...
