Eastbourne reveals itself as a charming seaside retreat – quiet, clean, and full of gentle elegance. The promenade is a true highlight: wide and beautifully designed across several levels, framed with greenery and offering endless views of the sea. The town’s architecture is a delight in itself: rows of white Victorian buildings lining the seafront, graceful and dignified, catching the light and giving the promenade its unmistakable character. It is a place where leisure feels effortless – perfect for unhurried walks, peaceful moments, and cultural evenings. With several theatres adding to its character, a visit to one of them carries the delightful impression of being welcomed into a close-knit local community.

Very typical 'English seaside town', buildings screaming Victorian grandeur of days gone by, now often dilapidated. But still mostly charming. Lots of hotels. The promenade itself however is well-maintained with pretty string lights at night, well-tended flower beds and of course the old pier (relatively recently revamped) has a charm of its old. Pebble / shingle beach is very clean and all in all a lovely place to come for a walk (even on a cold autumn day)

Blue sky, palm trees, sandy beach when the tide is out. Rock pools for the kids to explore. Entertainment on the Pier. Great hotels, restaurants and theatres, or just an evening walk along the prom. What else will you discover here? The photo was taken a couple of weeks ago when the This Morning show was down for a live piece for the show. At the time I was the Mayor of Eastbourne.

Offering a delighful mixed of natural beauty and modern amenities, the seafront stretches for miles and give me breathtaking views of the English Channel . The beach is well maintained and perfect for leisure and relaxing day by the water. The Pier , built a little way ago, its a must. There a variety of attractions, cafés, árcades and shops, its perfect to go with your family. The seafront is ideal for outsoor activities, cycling, jogging or just walking. There are a números restaurants, cafés and ice cream shops and ' The Eastbourne Bandstand' , a históric music venue, hosting live performances. Here you can start to walk towards the cliffs, With amazing views. Here start south downs way with 100 miles from here to winchester. Its amazing place to go, with friends, family or alone. You'll see along the way a lot of people there, enjoying the same place as you. Great. Second I came here and for sure I'll be back a lot of times more. There too much to explore in the área. You can take a train from London, like me and travel for 1.30 hrs to Eastbourne Station, wich is charming by the way. A walk to seafront, 15 minutes and from there you can check what do you want to do. If you want to go for the pier or to the cliffs, or just enjoying the view. Its worth every minute you spend in this place, especially yesterday when I was there, because the weather was simply fantastic and this motivated me even more to enjoy every minute of the time we sent there. We started at the Eastbourne station towards the cliffs and Birling Gap, where you can find a shop with gifts, some snacks, drinks. You have access to the beach through shore staircase, where you can relax and...

Has lost some of its quality that it had 20 years ago. The band stand is functional in a limited way. The lower prom needs the greenery up keep organised better only one toilet at the band stand open, you have to walk to the west to Holywell and to the east to the toilet at fisherman Green. The beach and general cleanliness of the prom is the best part of the prom. Thanks to the staff ofEBC The last thing I would say as a holiday resort,l would give a mark 9 out of 10 because the lack of fort fun and the dilapidated Treasure...
