The Hat Factory Arts Centre is easy to find very close to parking facilities, in walking distance of Luton Train Station and the Mall Shopping Centre. A great, modern building with wheel chair accessible entrance and lovely urban decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a coffee shop with a large selection of teas and coffees. A bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, snacks and fast food facilities and great seating area with tables, comfortable chairs, public toilets (including wheel chair accessible toilet) and WiFi.
The auditorium on the first floor had a large cinema screen, comfortable elevated seating and as it's not huge therefore has a very cosy feeling. There were office/break out room facilities and an open area on the first floor together with more mixed toilet facilities. As well as a staircase there was a lift. There are lots of leaflets letting you know upcoming events etc. including family friendly events or information for young children and we really enjoyed watching one of the latest award winning movies free of charge.

Venue The venue it self is small which is fine as even at the back you are not too far from the actual stage compared to bigger venues.
The main issue was knowing the seat numbers as there was no numbers on them also not really any help.
I just sat in where I thought was my seat from counting seat 4 from the end and asking other people in the audience.
It is quite warm inside there with only 2 fans from what I remember which are located more nearer the stage.
There is as a cafe within the venue, which I did not use, so i can not really comment on it too much, but it did look nice.
Location Location is fine especially if it is the evening as local parking after 6pm on weekdays is free. Plus some food...

However, the gentleman who was manning the desk and cafe offered to read a story to those of us who had turned up. Once he had set the atmosphere in the cafe for story telling one of the parents read a story to his daughter and invited my children to listen. Then the cafe man brought over popcorn for us on the house. We ended up having a lovely time just hanging out in the cafe. I want to say a heart felt thank you to the Hat Factory employee who went above and beyond expectations and turned our disappointment into an enjoyable experience and saved us from a...
