Lee-on-the-Solent is a charming coastal spot on the south coast of England that offers a relaxing and peaceful seaside experience. The beach itself is very clean and well-maintained, making it an excellent destination for a quiet walk or a casual afternoon by the sea. However, it’s important to note that the beach is mostly pebbly rather than sandy, so it might not be ideal for sunbathing or barefoot walks. Still, the overall scenery more than makes up for it. One of the best features of Lee-on-the-Solent is the number of benches available along the promenade. These are perfectly placed to take in the stunning views of the sea, especially on a clear day when you can spot ships in the distance and enjoy the fresh breeze. It’s a great place to sit with a coffee or lunch and just watch the world go by. The beach is also dog-friendly, as long as your pet is kept on a lead. It’s a nice place for a relaxed walk with your dog while still respecting other beachgoers. The area feels safe, family-friendly, and not overly crowded. Parking is reasonably priced — two hours cost around £3 at the time of writing, and the car park is conveniently located just a short walk from the promenade. There are also a few cafes and ice cream shops nearby, making it easy to spend a couple of hours enjoying the surroundings. Overall, Lee-on-the-Solent is a lovely choice for a peaceful coastal visit. It may not be a traditional sandy beach, but its cleanliness, accessibility, and beautiful views make it a worthwhile stop for both locals and visitors.

Lovely Beach area! Roads can be busy getting there, but there is a good amount of parking at not bad rates either. Pay by mobile, cash or card, sometimes not working as well as they should. Beach is generally quiet, lots of places to grab some food cafés, chip shops, etc. Brilliant amusements there have been going for years! Few pool tables, 2p machines and fruities etc, aslo they have a little cafe there too! There are lots of places for ice cream. Splash Park here is normally closed, but this can get busy when it's open and on this is situated next to a little park. There's not much for toddlers, but there's a swing. Overall, it was a nice place to spend a few hours, a bag of chips on the beach followed by a game of pool and an ice cream. Just a shame how people leave the beach by leaving their rubbish on the floor, even though there are plenty of bins! Please, if you visit, clear up after yourselves so others can also enjoy the beach.

Lee-On-The-Solent is a beautiful, friendly place as a whole, with many independent traders supplying just about anything anyone might need. The beach area is obviously subjected to unpleasant weather at times but if you can get over that, you are assured of a wonderful time. There are a number of facilities for children including playgrounds, skate park and splash park, as well as the natural features such as the beach itself and the sea which is great for swimming and other watersports. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants to suit all tastes (and pockets), litter is not a big problem and is one of many ongoing projects to further improve the area. Some of the beach becomes dog free during the hight of the season, while others remain open to our furry friends all year round. Oh yes, the views are quite stunning too. Come and try for yourself. I'm sure you...
