Bluebird Cafe — Restaurant in Gosport

I really used to love visiting. Food was always good. Today, after not visiting for a while, I suggested it to my partner and son. Saying how good it always was. They had mega breakfasts which they seemed to enjoy. I on the other hand had a cheese burger and chips. The burger was tasteless, just a lump of meat, no seasoning. My chips were undercooked and tasted like raw potato, no matter how much vinegar I could not taste it (assume it’s watered down) so I left most of my meal. I had really been looking forward to it, I don’t what’s happened but will not be returning. You used to do delicious burgers with a mound of grated cheese on top, they were the best! Popped in on a quiet Sunday morning for 2 ice cream cones. Was served by a young female member of staff with 2 plaits. Wish I had went to the shop next door as this member of staff has no idea on customer service or even basic good manners. She was sour faced abrupt bordering on rude no please or thank you change was just dumped into my hand with a grimace. At £3 a cone they could at least supply you with a napkin to catch the drips. All in we will not be going back to this cafe and will spend our money at any other establishment (and there are a few) Not impressed at all. It’s normally really alright here, apart from today. I got here at 1:20 to get an ice cream and when I got to be served the lady said how they aren’t doing cones today as the ice cream machine wasn’t working as well as normal. So anyway, we accepted this and got our ice creams in pots. To realise we had been charged extra for the tubs- which we didn’t even ask for in the first place. To add, the ice cream was absolutely appalling. It was like a mousse. We payed £7 for 2 mr whippy ice creams which were awful and had to pay the extra for the tub.
