Visited today for the first time with my sister and her two young children. We all absolutely love it! Even though it’s not huge we stayed for almost three hours as it’s so relaxing and inviting. So much for the kids to do, sand pits, mud kitchens, feeding the animals. They had pigs, donkeys, rabbits, Guinea pigs, cows, sheep, bee hives. It was just awesome! We felt super safe to let the kids play while we had a catch up and we brought our own food and ate at one of the picnic tables. Even though it was busy it somehow reminded calm and peaceful. They’d sold out of eggs in the shop so I’ll definitely be back for some of those. And the team who work there are the friendliest bunch of people, they made us feel really welcome. One of the loveliest things is that it’s free which means everyone can visit and take the opportunity to have a beautiful day out without it costing the earth. They have a donation box if you feel you can afford to give something. All in all it was the perfect day and we can’t wait to return. Animal feed is a 20p coin machine. The staff and volunteers are extremely friendly and helpful. You can touch most of the animals and is a hand on experience for adults and children. They grow their own vegetables and plants which you can buy also many fruit trees near the entrance. They also have a small shop to purchase free range eggs, pork and beef and tomatoes was available for us on the day too. They have seating available as you come up the entrance path.
