Barham Fisheries — Local services in Great Britain

I was recommended Barhams by my sister who is a local of the area. I took her review of Barhams with a pinch of salt. I've lived in 4 countries, tried exceptional cuisine from Japan, France and Argentina, her opinion of excellent wasn't (I ignorantly assumed) to be taken wholely seriously.

My grandma used to live round the corner from this chippy so we've been coming here for about 30 years now and the same owner has pretty much been there the entire time. I no longer live in Hull but every time I'm there, my mum always comes here even though it's out of the way from where she lives because it's that good. Barham Fisheries is a traditional fish and chip shop. The fish is cooked fresh to order, and there is plenty of choice on the menu. The traditional Hull patties had a nice light and fluffy texture and good flavour. The chips were excellent, and the portions were very generous.
