Worse than USELESS...
{Having lamentably inadvertently stumbled across them, [when then having my car MOT'd, restored at that other dubious company, ANDERSON CLARK ] I had then enquired if they could have & should have maybe rectified the damages that should never have, were it not for the deplorable state of the so called highways.
That which had the Highland Council {and /or Scottish Executive and /or Department of Transport & notably The Treasury, been so GROSSLY DERELICT IN THEIR DUTY OF CARE & RESPONSIBILITY. This, coupled with CAVALIER DISREGARD FOR not only PROPERTY but LIFE & LIMB. As are Yvonne LOW the highways 'inspector' & Colin M(a)cKENZIE their other un-civil 'servant' for 'insurance'}.
Upon belatedly telephoning to ascertain if they could (as do Teesside's auto thieves) call & collect the motorcycle with a view to maybe having the suspension & breaks, replaced.{As should not have been at ANDERSON CLARK}.
But, like Highland Council, they... (like MITCHELLS motorcycles)
weren't remotely interested. Ostensibly purporting because the wheel had been removed, they [un-like Teesside's auto thieves] couldn't collect it & hence put it in the rear of their van. This, to take to their garage, for restoration. Given the cavalier disregard of those inverMESS, why should I be surprised, when their is a pervasive NO CAN DO ATTITUDE. As one local put it. âinaMESS would, were it not for the (bloody minded and /or awkward) locals be a great place to live.â Any wonder then, it's akin to living in the third world. Indeed having been to both Bolivia & Egypt, I would say far worse, for they like elsewhere, unlike here inverMESS, have a CAN DO ATTITUDE.
I don't know about CLUELESS, without question bloody USELESS. Any wonder then, inver{(lovely)drunken}mess is as dysfunctional as are the overwhelming majority of locals irrational, some of whom are even imbeciles?
Ironically, CULLODEN was two and a half centuries ago, but some fools canât GET OVER IT. Given modern day attitudes, one canât help but ponder if they brought it upon themselves? To paraphrase p 68, A history of the United States by RB NYE & J E MORPURGO âThe English may have been villainous but the Scots were even more villainous.â Something very similar, also articulated in The 11...
Read moreWe decided in april 2018 to travel the NC500 with motorcycles. I found Ron's business online and contacted him regarding the rental of bikes and suits. He answered my questions quickly and shared a lot of relevant information which was helpful in the preparation of the trip. Days before our flight to Inverness I've asked Ron if it was possible to go directly to his company to arrange everything, this was no problem and he opened his business on sunday for us. We tried on the suits, boots etc. (we brought only our own helmets) and after 15 minutes we had our gear ready. In the meantime Ron drove the bikes outside and explained everything very clearly. After the necessary paperwork and payment (again, with very clear instructions and information) we were ready to get going. The motorcycles and gear worked out perfectly and we had a great week, driving over 800 miles through the highlands. Back in Inverness we called Ron and he was at the company in 15 minutes (I could have called earlier but decided to wait until I was there). We handed over the bikes and gear, he inspected everyhting (all was good) and together we handled the payment and paperwork. He showed us where our B&B was on the map and we went on with our holiday. From start to finish a very pleasant experience. In communication, flexibility, and quality of both bikes and gear. I would recommend this to anyone considering to ride the NC500 (which I would recommend to everyone :))....
Read moreThe two bikes were ready and waiting, as was the clothing which comes as part of the rental package. The bikes had done approx 10,000 and 20,000 miles and were in excellent condition. The clothing was good quality stuff, better than I had expected. Ron took care of the paperwork quickly and efficiently, and we were soon on our way. Owing to unforeseen circumstances, we had to shorten the hire period by one day, but when I phoned Ron from Harris, he wasn't concerned at all. We arrived back at Inverness after having ridden through 'Storm Hector' -- torrential rain and 60mph winds. Very tricky riding but the only casualty was my feet as the boots couldn't cope with the deluge of water. Upon returning the bikes, payment was completed with the unexpected and very welcome gesture from Ron in not charging us for the day we had to forego. He would have been justified in charging the full amount, but this discount put the icing on the cake. For sure, I would use NC500 again, and recommend Ron's company...
