Staying at grannies As we arrived, we felt like we were welcome as we were at our grandparents. Including the smell of freshly made food that was spreading through the building. The insulation of this beautiful villa is very good, but because of it the ventilation lacks a bit. I loved the details our hosts put into our visit. From their beautiful garden they picked some fresh flowers for on the breakfast table. See my picture with the rhyme “Over the Hil tae Grannies” which also added to the “visiting grannies-feel”. Our hosts were very nice and really tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The shower and is great! The bed is very comfortable as well (very important). Also important to mention: there is a coffee maker in the room! Breakfast was excellent en freshly made. The coffee was made with care and also very good. Probably made by a Nespresso. Which is fine. I recommend this accommodation.

10/10 recommend. Location is perfect into walking into city center. The breakfast was divine. Homemade haggis that made me want to enjoy haggis. Great hosts! Can’t go wrong here!

Staying at Ronas House was, without a doubt, the warmest and most heartfelt experience we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such genuine hospitality that it instantly felt like a home away from home.

The entire place exudes warmth and comfort. Every little detail, from the cozy rooms to the beautifully arranged common areas, was thoughtfully curated, making our stay not only relaxing but truly special. It’s clear that a lot of love and care goes into running this guest house, and it shows in every aspect.

One of the highlights was the personal touch that came with everything—from the delicious, homemade breakfast to the helpful local tips that made our trip even more enjoyable. The staff, especially Rona, went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and were always ready with a friendly smile.

We can wholeheartedly say that Ronas House is a hidden gem, and we would return in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a warm embrace, with all the comforts of home, this is the spot for you. We left feeling rejuvenated and already looking forward to...

This was our first visit to Scotland: a one week road trip from Edinburgh, over Inverness, Applecross, Portree, Fort William, Glasgow back to Edinburgh. We had a blast!||||Our first night we stayed at Ronas House. We arrived quite late and had to leave early. We were greeted by Joyce and she showed us to our room. The house has a lot of character, was fully renovated by the couple, and had a wonderful garden! It has all comfort, and the Scottish breakfast was the best I had all week! If I'm not mistaken, that was Alan's work :) The house is located in a quiet area, 10 minutes walk from the center of Inverness. Ronas House comes highly...
