Park at the bottom in a small layby, walk up a steady but undulating obvious path along the ridge top of lawley. Past a small radio tower with several little dishes and stuff. Fab views left and right, several false summits and gets steep for a few hundred meters near the top. Can be quite windy! A big weather vane with bird motif on the top. You can continue on down the other side if you can leave another car there as it's not a circular walk. You'll probably see some Hawks and Ravens, definitely sheep! Some have big curly horns too. Wear good boots and be prepared for a fairly hard walk, take appropriate precautions as it's very open up there. Don't forget to let someone know where you are going and when to be...

Great walk with spectacular Shropshire views, clamber up the devils chair or sit and eat your sandwiches enjoying the peace. The paths are rocky and unstable so sturdy footwear is advisable as is decent cold weather clothing in the winter. It's very exposed and the weather can be quick to change (as we found out today in the gales and sleet!) Bikes are not allowed and it does ask that dogs be on leads however since no self respecting bird would be ground nesting at this time of year it's ok to let your well behaved dog off lead, others thought so too. Winter is bracing but in the summer the colours are beautiful and you can pick wimberries if no one is crop spraying (look out for the signs to say...

Spent an entire day here. It's beautiful. If the weather is nice, there is so much to explore. From long walks on the river side to peaceful walks in meadows. I even got to see a few lambs close up. Overall I had a very good experience. If you visit the tourist centre first you can buy a little map based on how much you would like to walk. They have different maps with walk routes tailored to different people's choices. I chose a 10 miles one but at the end gave up as it was too late. But I had a very fun and exciting...

Shropshire Hills AONB is a superb view you can see for miles in all directions. Always colder than the valleys. So be prepared during winter season and in evening hours. Single track roads so be cautious and be prepared occasionally to move to passing places to allow others to pass. Whenever you see bit snow in Shrewsbury and town area just head to this place you can enjoy high snow fall here. Very nice place for trucking. Lots to see whiles walking and riding the hills. Parking space available with no payments.
