The whole experience was marred by the manager/owner, his attitude towards us as customers was rude. On arrival we were seated and asked for a jug of tap water and told the manager/owner that we knew what we wanted to order (we had been on a huge walk and were very hungry) he disappeared, chatting to people at the bar shouting out orders to the waiters. We waited at least 10 minutes trying to attract his attention but to no avail..I called one of the waiters over and asked if we could have a drink and place our order. The manager/owner came over holding a pad to take our order no apology for the delay ( it was early evening and the restaurant wasn't very busy so no excuse for us being missed!) We ordered our started, I mispronounced one of the meals and was quickly corrected by the manager/owner in a very arrogant manner, had we not been so hungry and waited so long for our order to be taken we would have left at that point. There were lots of waiters some of which had more experience than others, unfortunately the manager/owner took the opportunity during service to train and rebuff some of the staff if they got things wrong, I know staff need to be trained but should not be done infront of paying customers, it created an uncomfortable/unprofessional atmosphere. We weren't asked if our food was ok or if we would like desert or coffee, we were totally ignored other than accepting our payment at the end of the evening. Our experience was very different to the other diners who were "looked after" I can only put this down to us asking fir our drink and order to be taken....
Good t food throughout, although the balti I ordered wasn't an authentic balti, it was...
Read moreWe came here yesterday with some of my mates after doing the Trek at Carding Mill Valley. Firstly this restaurant is literally 3 minutes drive from the National Trust car park. So this was a bonus as didn't need to travel far to find Halal food.
Let's start with the décor it was really nice, contemporary and was oozing class. This is a fine dining restaurant and believe me you won't be disappointed. From start to finish the service was impeccable, the food was absolutely amazing and bursting with so much flavour. We were a group of 7 people we ordered starters each I ordered the king prawn puree was delicious. For mains we ordered a wide variety of foods these included a meatball with spinach dish (can't remember the name) which we really enjoyed so flavoursome with a hint of spice, 2 Jhinga spicy bhoona which had huge pieces of king prawns in it they definitely were not stingy with the king prawns portions and chicken chilli garlic and a lamb dhansak. We indulged in the desserts which were prented nicely and tasted delicious. And they even made us some masala tea to finish off the night.
The service was top class, food piping hot and mojito's were so refreshing. Expect to pay around £20pp for this fine dining experience (if you will be having a three course meal with drinks) was worth every penny.
Highly...
Read moreWe have been coming here for a few years now and it's always been a nice place to come until this time we had to complain that the chicken was hard and chewy, the man was not happy with us because we had said this, he said well no one else has complained, which shouldn't make a difference as our dish was not right, we didn't make a scene and kept it quiet, he did offer another dish but the chicken had really put us off eating so we declined, we said we didn't want to pay for it and he said well if you don't pay you will never be able to come here again, I felt that this was totally the wrong way for him to deal with this, he should've offered an apology for our meal not being up to standard and not just gone on the defensive he could of offered us a discount or something, I just wanted to say be careful if you go there as if you do have a problem with your meal they will probably react in the same...
