What a hidden gem of a place - and after inititial walk in throigh door in a very dark street my whole world lit up even if only for a couple of hours . My first interaction with the Rottweiller on the front desk who when I was leaving was my soppy loabradoor - was to a question "have you been driking" I growled back I had just finished work after 14 hours. I realise that coming from a busy A&E working space to everyday life (in this case a sauna) my adrenalin & demeour isn't the most calm so I can give off the wrong impression. plust the fact from a very dark street to well lit reception leaves me blind as a bat for a few mins. I was then asked for my COVID (first time ever) well done to this venue no matter how irritating at 2am in the morning with Rotweiller looking at me still, to cant find my phone in my bag. COVID check passed I enter - and like all venues that accom men liking men - the stares and fumbling in lockers when you are getting undressed but nobody saying hi - this place is different as I was welcomed and spoken to . The venue itself is clean, modern and oozing charm. Rotweiller who at first meeing hasn't been away from class on the customer service day, his levels of friendliness are gauaged (in my opinion only) the more terse he is with you means the more he likes you - which to me means he must love me!! I loved my experience here and another member of staff (Kevin) who hid it well not sure how in just a towel you can hide anything, I am just grateful Rotweillwer was not just in a towel. I may adopt the towel unifrom in A&E. As i say I loved my experience here and whether it be your first time or your 100th time you should visit this venue. its so close to London but without that London sting. To me its a no brainer drive it or get the train. If I was the venue and knowing one of the big venue saunas had closed I would offer a coach service and make Luton the next big thing in Saturday nights - and give Rotweiller a load of extra work. When I was leaving and after chatting Rotweiller turned into my Labrador I will definitel be back...
Read moreHi Guys hate giving bad reviews. But I gave this Sauna one star. It was awful experience. The Building needs totally revamp. The facilities are stuck back in the dark ages. The Steam room was luck warm. The steam room stank of mold. And hasn't been cleaned. Properly. I didn't want to sit down as it actually stank so god knows what they clean it with. Their was no lube available in the rooms.
The floors were filthy. The changing room had dust so they get a quick clean or lack of! The only thing was the Jazcuzi that worked. No porn on any other rooms. Plus the town size seriously what's that about. Not all of us are size 10 or 11's.
Now onto the staff when asked about he was direct and we'll rude. He said that's the size. It might well be but some of us like to walk around with them on. Not holding on to them.
I won't be back I am afraid it was really disappointing and could do so much better. Please try and prove that you will your going to...
Read moreMy first visit and also my last. The entry fee of £21 is extortionate. More expensive than any of the London saunas. The place seemed tired and shabby and on the night I went (Saturday) I arrived at 10:30pm and there were 7 customers at the most. The towels were more like hand towels and far too small to go around anyone's waist. It was useless for drying and keeping warm when coming out of the showers and the venue didn't appear to be heated other than in the sauna and steam room. I expected alot more from this place and it failed to deliver in every aspect. I'd imaged it to resemble a hot house (greenhouse) but it turned out to be a dirty brick building in one of the more undesirable parts of Luton. Yes I definitely won't be returning and I'd recommend to anyone thinking of going to save their hard earned money for a venue...
