Staff were really welcoming when we arrived, we had pre booked tickets which they found quickly on the system and went over the rules when we arrived (buggies left at the front, shoes off in the play area).
My coffee was really nice, I had two, though my Dad said his wasnât warm enough. I tried a bit of the cake (there was a handful of sweet options) which I think seemed homemade but unfortunately was dry. Wouldâve loved some more food options like chips or toasties as I hadnât eaten all day and was hoping Iâd be able to there.
My daughter loved the play area, I have a toddler and a baby and the options for both were really good. The room was quite cold, so could do with maybe putting in some kind of lower ceiling to insulate as the ceiling is quite high and exposed in there which may be why it was so chilly.
Beware to parents joining in with your littles in the play area, I witnessed one mum bump her head going through one of the little doors and thought to myself âhow did she manage thatâ then ended up doing the exact same thing myself in the exact same place haha - that told me!
I found the baby changing area really useful and clean. The lights directly above the mats are really bright and cool white, which may not be ideal for the neurodivergent littles who come for the quieter sessions. Iâm sensory sensitive myself and it was really bright for me even when looking down at my baby, all the while she was looking up right at them.
Overall I will definitely be coming back as itâs the only place locally where you can sit back and have a coffee while your child entertains themself and has an amazing time without you having to constantly worry. There was a friendly relaxed atmosphere and I did really like it! Definitely child centric with thought going into them and what they like/need, which I...
Read moreDisappointing compared to other role play centres. Great idea with the little rooms but cheaped out on the delivery of it, minimal toys, broken pushchairs, toys missing parts and incomplete, empty damaged and broken cardboard and plastic boxes used for space fillers. Rooms are very basic and nothing overly creative about them, just IKEA furniture, posters and laminated paper to set the scenes mostly. The toys were all pretty dirty and the big room was very cold! This was probably lovely when it first opening but looks tired and battered now. Iâd probably have been perfectly happy had I not been to much better ones elsewhere but it felt like just going to an untidy persons house that had a variety of used toys thrown around in a big space. It wasnât particularly organised and things well placed when we got there but after an hour (when it wasnât that busy) it was just messy chaos and kids were clearly overwhelmed and just running around screaming and shouting dragging things from one space to the next, not actually playing. Plus side was the staff were lovely, very engaged with the kids on arrival which was a great first impression, cafe decent, layout was good (you can almost watch them from the cafe area for more able kids) booking was fairly simple but I probably wouldnât travel the 40 minute journey to go again as it is. Bit of a shame as itâs a great idea and has loads of potential to be so...
Read moreWe held my daughter's 2nd birthday party here - it was a huge success, and I highly recommend Tiny Town for parties. We had a 33 children in attendance, plus more than that number again in adults. The staff were superb - helpful, prompt and accommodating in responding to my initial booking request, and then absolutely brilliant on the day, even generously allowing us to overrun. Great selection of food options for children (vegan, veggie, dairy free, etc), plus options to order platters for adults. The children themselves absolutely loved it, and the layout of Tiny Town allowed children to enjoy themselves within the sight of adults, who were able to have a chat and enjoy a hot drink. We had lots of positive feedback from guests. Really pleased we made the decision to hold the party here - a huge thank you to staff for making it a special day for...
