Excellent setup, really well thought out; blending the industrial heritage with up-to-date technology/architecture to make a great set of walks, fun adventures and experiences. The visitors' centre is currently closed but there are plenty of cafes and coffee shops on the high street in New Mills in which to buy refreshments (We found Gioia Mia, run by a lovely Palestinian man Ali, to be great and he couldn't do enough for you - their coffees and breakfast butties are superb!). Park at the end of the dead-end street (cash pay and display (£2.50 all day)) near the train station and across the way you will see a small path leading down towards the picturesque Millennium Way bridge, To the right is a dog friendly pub called The Shrub. Visited late afternoon and maybe walked past a total of 10 people which was great when wanting to take a few pictures.
