Read moreA gorgeous park with lots of green space for playing ball and picnics. Great playarea for children of all ages along with an accessible wheelchair swing and a splash area. Toilets right beside playarea too. This was our first time visiting here so it's possible my 2 criticisms of it may be wrong. Firstly having followed directions from the hospital using Google maps we spotted a sign for the park with a P on (for car parking), unfortunately this car park was for disabled and permit holders only. We spotted a sign selling duck food to help support the park and happily bought a nice size bag. I appreciate that ducks are wild and free to go wherever they want, but we failed to find any! I'm not certain if there was a pond that we missed, walked around the stream surrounding the play area and found a family of geese sitting surrounded by uneaten duck food and 2 moorhens. We would definitely return if we were in that part of...
Read moreWe visited Holywells Park, and to be honest I was a little surprised to find this place - it was really nice! There's a few little paths that can be followed, and there is a nice mix of open areas where you can have a kick about with the kids, and tree areas to play hide and seek! The park has a kiosk to get a drink / food as well as a cafe. There are also some toilets, which are much needed if visiting with the kids! In the centre of the park is a large playground with a small splash area.
We found the park to be tidy and clean, and having the kids playground in the middle didn't take away from the beauty of the rest of the park as it is surrounded by trees.
Really impressed with this park, and will likely visit again at...
