Spencer Park is located off the Washbrook Road, behind Asda. It has two distinct spaces. The space on the right, the west field, has a large open space which is great for walking the dogs. Plenty of doggy poo bins located around the park, so there's no excuse for not cleaning up after your dog has done it's business. Don't forget your poo bags! When you enter, there is an enclosed, pet free play area for tots. To the right of the field, there is a purpose built bmx track. To the top of the field on the right, there are some tennis courts. The path along here connects to the east field. At the top of this field is an enclosed play area for older children, with some more tennis courts to the right. The majority of the field is given over to two football pitches, with a structure containing changing rooms, run by Rushden Town Council. A great park that is often overlooked by Rushden's other open space, Hall Park, a more formal and traditional park. More things to do in this park, with a more active theme. Definitely...
Read moreI had already review this Place (dear to me) at the time,and returning After a few years,Having arrived in Rushden,I went ti Spencer Park and I was able ti see that this Place has improved a loro,in fact,now,the locali people,and also ti the occasionale tourist,giving the possibility to spend pleasant hours in the best possibile way,while the Little ones can play with games made available ti them in an area entirely dedicatesi ti them.There are also tennis court and football fields for the older ones. Insider this Park ,you can visit a small Museum that offers the interested visitor historical informazioni about these places,very interesting. Read moreNice little park. It has a big green to run about on or play ball games and to one side is a small park area with bits for smaller children. A small bike track which is awesome, some tennis courts I believe and then a larger park area with a zip slide and bits for all ages slides, climbing apparatus, swings etc and some more tennis courts. There are also 2 buildings in the park with fantastic murals on. All in all a lovely park with plenty to keep the kids happy...
