La Estrella Tapas Bar & coffee — Restaurant in England

The food here is AMAZING!! Never had a bad meal here and the atmosphere in the place is lovely. The young lady who normally serves us wasn't working last night; her service is always spot on and she is great at recommending food and wine but honestly, anything you choose will be delicious. My personal favourites are the beef strips in mushroom sauce (indulgent but so worth the calories!), the calamari (cooked to perfection every time) mixed seafood (the sauce is to die for, so make sure you have extra bread!), and the patatas bravas (carb lover's heaven). I made the mistake of having authentic tapas elsewhere recently and it was pretty poor in comparison. I won't be doing that again! Shocking service Food sub standard microwaved Hairs in food , looked like dog hairs. The most non authentic Spanish eatery.

Manager rude and aggressive when constructively criticised.

Bar staff drinking on the job and kitchen staff drinking a pint as cooking.

Avoid like the plague !

A nice tapas bar in Rushden serving some nicely cooked traditional dishes, plus a few I'd not seen before. I sampled 5 dishes which were all very tasty... the cod and beef cheek were particularly good. If anything I'd say that portion sizes are small (even though they are supposed to be 'small plates'), but they are reasonably priced.... meaning that you need to be prepared to order more of them.
