The Glens of Antrim are basically Ireland’s way of showing off. Picture nine ridiculously scenic valleys, carved by glaciers and clearly designed by someone who wanted their Instagram to blow up. Each glen has its own charm, from dramatic waterfalls and mossy forests to sleepy villages with cozy pubs where the soup tastes like a hug.
Start with Glenariff, also known as the “Queen of the Glens,” where the waterfalls do all the work so you don’t have to. Glenarm has a castle, Carnlough has swans, and Cushendun has a cave where a scene from Game of Thrones was filmed, which makes you about 10% more majestic just by standing near it.
The drive along the Antrim Coast Road will have you white-knuckling the steering wheel while gasping at every turn. It's both a scenic wonder and a gentle heart attack in progress.
