Nineteen Thirty Eight — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

I booked a table in Nineteen Thirty Eight last Sunday and I was absolutely delighted with the service and food. I had cauliflower starter done in a light batter and sweet chili sauce, my friend and I got this to share and it was a good portion between two people but so delicious I wish I got it for just myself 😋 my main course was chicken on champ and pepper corn sauce and roasted veg 🤤🤤🤤 and it was first class. Hats off to the staff for being so attentive and the chef did a great job 👍 see you all very soon...

I had high hopes, but sadly this place didn’t deliver. The food was mediocre at best. The meat was dry and completely flavorless, and while the fish was somewhat acceptable, it was nothing special. Everything looked old and poorly presented, which didn’t help the overall impression.

I went at night, so I couldn’t enjoy the beachside views that might make it worth visiting during the day for drinks. Unfortunately, the meal didn’t sit well with me either, which sealed the deal—I won’t be...

Had a great family meal at 1938. Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic and the setting overlooking the water and Lurig in the sunshine was great!
