We were recommended to visit here by our guesthouse in Garron View and what a great suggestion. We managed to get a table for tonight (a busy Saturday) and were given a warm welcome.

All the staff were really friendly and doing a great job as it was fully booked.

We had a steak from the specials which was cooked perfectly with "tabacco onions". These delightful crispy treats are made from shaved onions which are then lightly battered and fried. We could have eaten a plate of these on their own!

My main of seafood linguini was the most generous version I've ever eaten. There were three types of fish (haddock, salmon and cod?) plus many juicy prawns. They also added green beans and broccoli which was an unusual but very nice touch 🥦

We finished with two desserts: chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding which were both served warm with a scoop of ice cream.

All in all a great place to visit.

We had went to Harry's upon a locals recommendation, upon arriving we were seated by a young lady who didn't speak a word, just threw a few things onto a table and walked off.

Now worth noting the gentleman that resumed our service was great, very help, polite and professional.

My partner had ordered a chicken stack which she thoroughly enjoyed, myself on the other hand ordered duck from the specials. This was not great at all. The bed of mash the duck lay on had no flavour whatsoever, you would expect the mash to be creamy, maybe even buttery, but no this was like eating boiled potatoes. The sauce was strange and not nice.

Now, when the waiter returned and noticed I hadn't ate any of the food, he very kindly offered to make a different dish, but by this stage my partner was finished, so I had refused.

I'd like to return and try something else, just to be sure, and will surely...

Tuesday night dinner just before the kitchen closed.

We got 2 Harry's burgers on recommendation of the young chap serving. Food came out quick, was hot and a reasonable portion. Unfortunately the burger patty had quite clearly been cooked from frozen and was appalling quality. Looked and tasted like it had been microwaved then overcooked - the meat was not fresh and tasted dry, processed and salty. The chips were decent enough and served with gravy. Side salad consisted of about 2 curly lettuce leaves and some balsamic glaze.

Felt robbed paying £16 per head for something that could've been thrown together from the freezer isle at Tesco. I'm genuinely confused as to why they wouldn't consider making a fresh patty with good Irish beef and charge a bit more. The lad serving asked how things were but they were closing up and I didn't have the energy to...

Poor experience. Not the Sunday roast I expected, the ham looked like shop bought slices and is completely different to what’s advertised on social media/ other recent customer reviews. I did query, but it was returned back to me with 3 thin slices (initially served with one slice) and fobbed off with some story about a meat cutter. Bad quality, ended up taking most of the meal home for the dog. Disappointing service, the waitress who took our order didn’t order my drink and ordered the wrong meal for my husband, both of which had to be reordered with a different waiter, table not checked or offered desserts so decided to leave, when we went to pay we noticed we were being overcharged for a meal we didn’t have and had to ask for the correct bill.

Visited twice in consecutive nights, the food is excellent, especially the chowder which is listed as a little plate but is filling. My wife had it as a main course and it was easily enough. I had the smoked haddock one night, seafood linguine the next, again both substantial and filling. We were tempted by the puddings but just too full. On both occasions we arrived without reservation but were helpfully accommodated. Nice to see that tipping is not assumed, although many did tip. Not many places in the village to eat at night so this place does get busy, although deservedly so. Would highly recommend.
