Staff: Friendly, welcoming and informative. There was a young girl in particular who helped my son use the little go karts they have there. I didn't catch her name, but I remember her saying she's 16 and has worked there for about seven months. She was really great, positive and helpful.
Price: For what you're getting and the fact the business survived during a pandemic, it's really good and worth the money.
Cleanliness: I read a few reviews that said it wasn't very clean, but I guess the change in management resolved that issue. I went everywhere with my son today and it was really clean.
Choices: There's plenty to do in there, there's slides, climbing equipment, go karts, a football area and more. It's all safe with appropriate soft padding around edges and frames, but I recommend you stay with your younger children if they go up to the top.
Food: We chose not to eat there, however, some of the food I did see looked appealing. I didn't catch the prices, so you'd need to check their menu. Again, everything looked clean and they had cleaning equipment near the till which is a good sign.
Booking: We called to ask if we can turn up and pay and was told we had to pre-book and pay online. That's fine, but when we turned up, people were just walking in and paying, so it felt like we were let down a little bit. Not a big deal, but it was really, really busy when we were there. I suspect it would've been a slightly better experience if it wasn't as packed, but I can't really complain. It felt like pre-pandemic and that's good.
Overall, a really nice day and we will be...
Read moreWe visited Space World in Prescot on Sunday, 29 June 2025, with our 7-month-old baby, expecting a fun and safe soft play experience. Sadly, our visit was cut short due to a number of serious safety concerns.
The 0–3 year old area — which is the only section suitable for babies — was filled with much older children running wild, throwing toys, and even riding wheeled toys down the slides. At one point, I had to step in and stop an older child myself because there were no staff supervising the area. This made it completely unsafe for our baby, and we were forced to leave early.
To make matters worse, there was a man asleep in the middle of the play area for over 25 minutes. Although staff acted when we alerted them, there should have been proactive supervision — especially in a venue designed for young children.
I raised these concerns directly with Space World and received an apology, but no resolution or offer of a refund. Considering we paid for a service we couldn’t safely use, it’s disappointing that nothing further was done. After further reading of low ratings, it has come to my knowledge that there is customers being asked to leave due to their behaviour, and they were still refunded? However, we had to leave due to the lack of safety and staff awareness, and receive no compensation?!
I would not recommend this venue to parents of babies or toddlers unless significant changes are made to ensure proper safety and...
Read moreBeen to Space World on a few occasions with my little boy and although it is an excellent facility - I do seem to find the same problem each time I go. I personally feel as though there should be some form of admission cap per session because it can get ridiculous and today was just not enjoyable at all - too many people in one place and it was a bit all over the place. Staff are utterly superb and don’t stop so there’s no criticism on them. There’s one other thing as well - I think the smaller kids’ part needs to be monitored on occasion - so many times the smaller babies/kids are trying to dodge much bigger and older kids when they have their own massive section to play in, you feel constantly on tenterhooks that your child may be stood on or fell on because of bigger kids and their stronger way of playing. This isn’t a complaint as such and I don’t want to be a moaner but just my genuine thoughts on how to make a great place for kids that bit better. I reiterate - the staff are fantastic and they appear understaffed for how many people can be in there at...
