Pells Pool - Seasonal Outdoor Swimming Pool — Attraction in Lewes

Went to Pells Pool on 05/08/24 for the 12-3 session with my partner & 3 kids. Had to book online, if you leave it too late tickets will sell out, recommend booking in advance. Did not have to wait too long to come in.

Impressed with price of tickets, total value for money.

Pool was large & lovely, plenty of space to swim, lifeguards do their job well & not overzealous on the whistle.

Grassed area was good too, not too overcrowded, few picnic benches. You're allowed to bring your own deck chairs, blankets, picnics etc.

Small pool for babies & toddlers to keep cool.

All Staff seemed to be polite & welcoming.

Pells pool is relatively easy to get to, train station not too far away. Small Car park located just a few minutes walk away, £1.90 for the day.

My only downside if have to say is that I would have liked the paddling pool for toddlers & babies area to be a bit more exciting for smaller children, to maybe add a small slide and/or water fountains...

Exact same experience as last one star review. I am visiting lewes, walked to the pool, got a bit lost and hot but ran to make it for 6 30 to be told you can't come in, not a member, no Accomodation or hospitality or even simple kindness to a grown up. Man came out to look down his nose at me literally , rules is rules...and asked his young staff to witness my calling him a jobsworth! I was perfectly nice to your staff sir, using the term madam and adopting the tone you did is not polite. We came to the festival of music last night. It was a fantastic event at a very reasonable price. It started at 5pm and we arrived ontime expecting a big queue, but we waited no time at all despite the event being almost sold out I believe. The pool temperature was perfect, the toilets and changing rooms very clean. Not a huge queue for drinks, the southdown cider was delicious and equally the barbecue, we chose the vegetable Dahl and it was really tasty. The music was great. An absolutely faultless, chilled evening. Can't wait...
