A nice enough small park, handy to the town if you want to pop in for a picnic lunch. Sadly, due to it's size, it's very noisy with traffic all around. The pool and lawns are pleasant and well kept and there is plenty of seating in both sunny and shady areas. The fruit trees on the upper level of terracing are healthy, however the ones on the 'ground' level are infested with some sort of parasite and need attention. Also, there is a shortage of flowering plants for pollinators which is a missed opportunity in this urban oasis. It could do with some input from local volunteers or guerilla...

They tend to stand outside their office smoking A LOT If someone had breathing problems i would advise them to stay clear. There are also too many dogs without leads and no one ever tells the owners to put the lead on their dog. Plenty of sympathetic restoration work has been done but it's a shame that the perron and the terraces have been padlocked shut for about a year now, due to Health and Safety concerns. Also, shame that there's no access from the gardens to the historic graveyard at the rear of the Cathedral.
