Great little Park in Clapham Park. It has a fenced football pitch and 2 fenced basketball courts. There is a pond and a children's play area. There is also a grassed area for picnics, sunbathing etc. There seems to be toilets, both men and women's, but when I went there recently they were both padlocked shut, which is a real inconvenience. Would I go out of my way to visit this park, no I wouldn't, if I lived in a flat locally, yes I would, especially for the activities available for the local children. Beautiful playground, swings, slides and extra also it has PADDLING POOL! Children love it! Was Hot day so they really enjoyed! There is around to play ball and other activities. Perfect for a day out, picnic. Saturdays and Sundays FREE PARKING on road opposite to it and Monday- Friday FREE parking before 10am and after 12 noon!!!

Sadly the small pond has dried up and the wild life species in the pond have no doubt died too

You know looking at this place from the outside or just entering for the first time you may be mistaken for thinking this park is a bit if a dive. But it's not just the park area you have to take into consideration. This place has a vibe..a real nice vibe. Yeah it's right next to a main road and an estate...but the vibe there is soo nice...it reminds me of the vibe I get from time spent in the Nottinghill/Ladbroke Grove area. There are people here...doing their own thing...from every colour under the sun...just doing their own thing. You will almost always see the football court filled with beautiful melanin boys hustling their game. The childrens park area is filled with children from all ethnic groups happily playing and laughing together. The grounds are nice...not too great...but nice enough to walk around...sit on a bench...watch the school children playing on the massive rock in the pond area. You always wonder if any will fall in. Then you hear the shriek of a mother because her child did. You just hope that the child who did fall in and come into contact with the pool water dosent end up with some unknown disease because looking at that pond is very scary...the water is green and theres no movement. But the kids..being kids..have the most fun on a sunny afternoon after school. I can imagine that this park will hold a lot of good memories for the children as they get older. Come along. Take a stroll in the park. Chill where the children play. Hear them laugh...scream...shout. Theres nothing nicer.

No perves...

Been going here since the 80ties, and it was great then bar the huge clay like football pitch.

Today the huge pitch is two very good pitches; artifical grass football pitch and a tarmac basketball/football pitch.

The issue here is the children's play area is a mix of old when I was a kid equipment, removed equipment and very tired poor quality replacements that have seen better days.

For a affluent area like Balham and million pound houses near by. The council estates are now mostly working professional hot spots, I am surprised more investment isn't made.

Grassy areas and the old pond could do with some landscaping. Children play area needs the most work, which has a huge space for interesting equipment/rides, even excersize equipment for adults.

Maybe it's me looking back to how it was, just a shame it can be so...

Toilets are shut all the time now. Two full size football pitches, 1astroturf,1 rubberised tarmac. Nice play park/swings for youngsters. Small clean grass area. Community allotment, meeting Sundays 11-2. As a park it is fenced & gated, locked sundown Sometimes. There are plans for volunteers to unlock/lock toilets. Allotment going well, easy to get involved don't have to do much, come & eat the sorrel Please!! We've got blackcurrants this year doing well, always some salad leaves available & herbs All Fresh, no insecticide used. Bee keeper has moved away but they were never a problem. See...
