The food was entirely Disgusting and unpalatable. Also overpriced for the bottom tier BRITISH stir fry moonlighting as “Thai stir fry”. Nothing remotely Thai about it. Absolutely disingenuous in description. The “Beef” stir fry was Mostly chunky onions which accounts for 75% of the entire meal, not even chopped properly and no real beef (this was 5% of the total volume of stir fry). The Onions should never be visible like giant cubes in a meal and they were borderline raw cos my eyes watered when I bit a chunk. I basically had a raw onion. The peppers ( which were 20% of the total volume of stir fry) were not cooked (very hard), also not chopped properly, they were also like chunky cubes, just like the onions. Furthermore, because the green peppers were not cooked it had the bitter after taste. Very amateur move. The beef did NOT taste like beef but a cheap hybrid alternative beef. It had a bizarre texture. It was not beef. Finally the egg fried rice had no egg. It was just rice. Very basic white rice. Very forgettable. Camille Thai need to Stop wasting their money on fancy instagrammable packaging and simply focus on dramatically improving the diabolical taste of the food which is the basics of running a restaurant. Fire your chef promptly before the recession hits. This is the best money saving advise your business will get this year and I’ve given you two for free even though your food assaulted my taste buds. I Only had two forkfuls of the inedible meal and I threw it away. Then had to re-order AUTHENTIC Thai from another restaurant. Should have known by the name “Camille” that they were anything but authentic Thai. They’re charlatans, please don’t waste your money, time and energy here. They’re guaranteed to make you hangry because you’ll be sorely disappointed and spend Double. I am livid. Imagine having to re-order another Thai beef stir fry from another Thai restaurant because they can’t cook! I...

Edited Review after owner response (Removed part about VAT )

Visited this restaurant via a restaurant discovery app randomly. The restaurant seemed busy with food delivery as there were plenty of pick-ups from food delivery apps coming in from the main door (There was a constant stream of food delivery pick-ups which the staff had to remind all of them to use the back door instead, made dining there less enjoyable, but it was fine). However what was more unnerving was the kitchen staff shouting loudly at the open kitchen while dining at the restaurant.

The food was average, but still tasty, average tasty. There are few points which brought 1 star down. A bit disappointed that their brown rice and wild rice ratio was about 0.001%

The chu chee curry , the ingredients had strangely uneven temperature in the same bowl. It seemed like they had added the vegetables to stir-fry in last, but took it out before they were evenly heated which messed with my brain a lil.

I must commend that the wait staff was very kind, and the service was great. However I did find the fork of my set of cutlery wasn’t clean, it was sticky, which they were...

We were so excited when we saw that a Thai restaurant was coming to our neighbourhood; but so disappointed when it opened to find that the bulk of their business is based on take alway food rather than dining in. What is even more disappointing is that there are tables that one can eat their takeaway food at but it is served in mountains of non recyclable boxes and plastic containers with plastic straws, cutlery etc. Not acceptable in 2018. I can’t imagine why they chose such a central and expensive venue only to make it one enormous kitchen with no proper dining experience. In a nutshell it is kind of the ‘McDonalds’ of Thai food, albeit the food tastes very nice indeed, and is probably a lot more healthy. If this quality food was being served with table service and included a waiter to take your order and deliver the food to the table, this would do an awful lot better than its current offering which is basically a fast food outlet positioned in a neighbourhood that love to dine out. I will give this rating just two stars because the food is delicious. However the rest of the package is enormously...

Disgusting poor quality. Overcooked. I normally love Camile when it was open in Tooting Bec and my go to order for 5 years was crispy chilli beef and jasmine rice. Since it closed I tried the Clapham one but very disappointed at the food quality. It was soggy not crispy and the beef was fatty and left in huge chunks. Hardly any veggies and no sauce, as if it had been left to overcook in an oven, rice was also dry and not fluffy. Order came 30minutes early, just 15 minutes after I placed it and I think it had been precooked and just taken out of the warming oven. Sadly I won't ever be travelling 200 miles for that takeaway. Really gutted. But very poor. You can see from the pic the size of the beef strips, like scissors wouldn't even cut it, and my teeth certainly wouldn't either. Disgusting

Both app and website aren’t working to process an order - there is an issue with the Camille special fried rice. The app said to call the store so I spoke to someone on the phone who refused to accept that there was a problem at their end despite it not working on the app and the website on two seperate phones. He wouldnt honour the app/website deal over the phone despite the issue being on their end. I have since tried ordering on a laptop too which also doesn’t work so definitely a problem on their end. Screenshots attached as he hung up on me when I asked for an email to send the screenshots too.
