Worst perdicure Iāve ever had, was in and out the salon in less than 30 mins including wait time. Asked her not to cut the nail too short as I like them with a little length very sharp and square (I had made sure to grow them out before this appointment as I was going on holiday) which I did specify however my nails were cut so short it was painful! I told her this was too short on the first one but all of the nails ended up like this. On top of that they are all completely wonky my big toes especially and all were rounded and not square at all? My cuticle were all flooded and not cut down properly either. There was even the top coat stuck to my skin I called them about an hour after my appointment to come in the next day to fix it & told them what time I would be able to come after work When I arrived they told me there was nothing wrong with them! I was on the verge of tears telling them Iām going on holiday and Iāve quite literally never had a pedicure this bad not to mention that I was charged Ā£55 for this awful service and was not told that she had done a gel removal from my previous pedicure which was only left on 2 nails𤣠I was begging the girls to do something to fix them, at least put a tip on my big toe and leave the rest as I can sort them myself but they refused and said all they can offer is a repaint when I have returned from holiday after they have grown a bit After 15 minutes of begging for some sort of solution I left the salon as it was getting no where and to be honest I was quite embarassed arguing with someone about how ugly my toes looked Ended up having to go somewhere else to fix them since there was no way I was going on holiday with my toes in the state they had left them. Definitely do not go here for a pedicure caused me so much unnecessary stress that could have easily been solved one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience here has been less than satisfactory. I attended over a week ago and got a shellac manicure.
I had a crack on my thumb nail which had been glued with acrylic on a previous visit. My index finger also had a crack which the nail tech noticed while doing my nails... however she didn't glue it she just put the shellac over it. However the overall finish of the nails were great... nice shape and looked natural and neat.
Two days later my index finger cracked. I immediately returned to the salon to fix the nail. I was told I'd have to wait at least one hour as 2 other customers were getting manicures/pedicures etc. I thought this was a little unreasonable considering the fix would take less than 10 minutes. They could have attempted to do it in between these customers.
I returned yesterday which was 8 days after the inital visit. By this point the crack to my nail had spread and had broken off completely leaving exposed skin. It was extremely painful and could have been avoided. I was told I'd have to pay for the repair. £5!. I disputed this and it was agreed this would be free as I had attempted to repair it quicker when I had attended.
However when I asked the nail tech to use a false nail to cover the exposed skin, I found two other members of staff started a loud discussion in their own language in front of me. Extremely rude. I was then told they wouldn't do an acrylic repair for free. I was told £2.50. I reluctantly agreed as the fake nail had already been stuck on my finger.
When the nail repair was completed and I reviewed my nail upon leaving I was disgusted. The shellac nail colour had been painted on with minimal effort and the acrylic was soo thick...
Needless to say, I won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a regular customer of Anya beauty salon for now over 4 years. I mainly go there for pedi and waxing. With regards to the pedi I choose Shellac which is great to last but a pity beauticians do not apply polish flawlessly. There are always spots missed at the base of the nails to make it look perfect. Plus you need to properly ask for foot scrubbing as some skip it in order to go fast. For the waxing I was always thinking « ok you have what you pay forĀ Ā» (32Ā£ a hollywood lycon, which is ok) until I had Valentina. She is a goddess nothing else. All the other girls make you suffer like hell Ā“coz they would not let the wax cool down properly, and insists on pulling on a wax that you can call more a chewing gum than a wax, and believe me even if they work fast, itās 10mins of intense pain. Valentina on the other hand will proceed gently, not applying ridiculously long and larges sections of wax, and will let the wax dry. Massive difference and painless experience. She will give you proper advises, be friendly and weirdly it doesnāt take longer. Itās the 2nd time I have Valentina and I will make her my only waxing beautician. Other than that Anya is a decent salon with wide range of beauty choice and they always make their best to accomodate a last minute...
