We arrived at 07:55 anticipating an interesting event, that was the opening of this new store. At 08:05 the doors were still shut, queues forming and it started to rain. At 08:10 the Store Manager came out with all the staff and took photo's. The customers were getting annoyed and wet. Did they open the doors then? No, a nember of staff came outside to give the queuing customer's the cheapest and tackiest umbrella! Why was the advertised opening at 08:00??? This opening was a non-event, no tokens of gratitude to their first customers, what an immense disappointment.

Hello,

I wish to formally complain about your Store Manager at Colindale.

I visited the store at the beginning of the week, in an attempt to purchase two Smart watches. Although your website promised that the products were available, they were not on display.

I approached one of the male Managers who told me that they were 'more than likely in our warehouse but had not been put on display yet'. This Manager told me to return to the store later in the week.

I returned to the store again today and they were still not on display.

I then approached a male and female Manager to ask about the products.

The male Manager then explained that there is sometimes a four or five day delay and difference to availability in the store website offers. I told him that it had been at least four days since I originally enquired. The female Manager then said that they could have been 'stolen'. I asked her that if this was the case, had the products been put on display. This Manager then became aggressive and asked me if I was suggesting that the store had not put warehouse stock on display??? Due to her aggressive attitude I asked her not to speak to me as if I were an idiot. This seemed to enrage her and I walked away. This Manager then followed me continuing to hurl abuse at me including calling me a 'stupid man'.

I then informed her that I would report her behaviour and asked her for her name. She refused to identify herself, the male Manager informed me that her name is Caroline, (she is an elderly woman with dyed blonde hair).

I will also copy this email and post this message as a review as I believe that this Manager bullies her staff and she attempted to intimidate and bully me. This was made abundantly clear when I told  a staff member of the despicable treatment she had attempted to inflict on me and that staff member rolled their eyes and seemed to agree with my opinion on this Managers somewhat peremptory style.

I have been forced to email you because your Customer Service department on the Head Office number is not accepting calls!

I await your response.

Kind regards

Oh and by the way, the products are still showing as 'good availability'...

B and M is a great store with a vast variety of different things to purchase, they have almost everything someone could need. The problem is that a couple of the staff here are extremely rude and lack customer service skills. Today I went to purchase some black hair dye, I picked up 2 boxes one larger one and one smaller one. I brought them to the till and the 2 women behind scanned them and said, 7.50 please. I was a bit confused as on the shelf it stated the product was 1.99 (it must have been placed in the wrong area but there was multiple of the same product above the sign) and the other was 1.50, I stated that it had said that on the display and one of the woman started yelling at me for no apparent reason and just acting unnecessarily rude when I was just a bit confused and trying to understand the situation, this left me feeling terrible. But this isn't the first time something like this has happened, a friend of mine went there to purchase cigarette filters and the lady declined her purchase by saying 'you have to be 25 to purchase this product' which is simply untrue, you just get I'D if you look under a certain age and my friend had a valid passport to state she was 20, but she could still not purchase them and the lady was rude by saying: 'Oh I bet you'll just go to the corner shop now and buy some huh'. Great store with lots to choose from but EXTREMELY rude and...

I love the store as massive and they have a lot of things but God save anyone who would like to ask any question from someone who's working there. After 20 min walking around I couldn't find anyone just who was behind the till point. Asked about specific product and the answer was "i don't think we have it" i asked "you think k or you know?" I'm wondering they don't have a stock check, stick control or any knowledge? I took a screen shot about the product and technically was just ignored. Worked in retail for 15years. I know there is a way to check stock specially if I have the product code. Hope you do better next time. I know the pressure retail has nowadays and I'm not here to argue, but do the bare minimum for the customers and not just "i don't think" Thinking is not something should be involved as I don't ask anyone to remember what they have on the shelf as it is impossible. But check the stock or ask someone who can check. The answer was straight ignorance and that's why I'm leaving the review. Just do better please. A bit of help and kindness could help. Also this is not to belittle someone. But train people properly so they can...

The store itself is good as is the choice and stock but it's not one to go to at very busy times like Saturday afternoons/early evening. The car park is absolutely gridlocked and you can spend 30mins moving just 2 car lengths. We gave up at 5.30pm on Saturday night and walked down to Bang Bang for dinner until it cleared. Apparently this is a regular occurrence and the staff are powerless to do anything about it. The company that owns the car park really needs to sort this out with whoever is in charge of the traffic lights that allow car park users back onto the main road - only 4-5 cars can go through the lights at a time. With 4 lines of cars joining together from the carpark this makes for an unbelievable delay to customers of B&M, Bensons for Beds, Matalan etc. This is really unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately.

Went to Colindale B&M to buy a few supplies and they sent a parking charge in the post weeks after claiming I did not park correctly in a bay. They could not provide any evidence of this when contacted and When I contacted B&M they said they do not own the land and third party company ukpc manage the parking site. Disgusting really as I went to spend money in a shop and being penalized for parking my car in a car park that the markings are partly faded. Besides the text is eligible to read, there is no way a driver can read the sign at night. Also there are APNR cameras to monitor duration of visit. I spoke to security and he said that the retail company pays people to drive in the car park issue fines and of recent have stopped issuing tickets because the complaints. That will be the last visit for me there drivers be aware!
