My visit to Fulham Palace was a truly enriching experience. The palace's lovely gardens were a joy to explore, offering a serene escape with beautifully maintained landscapes and a peaceful ambience. What stood out to me most, however, was the wealth of information provided about the palace's history, particularly its involvement in the transatlantic slave trade. I was impressed by the palace's honest and open approach to this difficult chapter in its history.
The exhibits did not shy away from the uncomfortable truths but instead embraced them as an opportunity to educate visitors about the realities of the past. It was clear that Fulham Palace is committed to acknowledging and accepting its historical role, and this transparency was both refreshing and important. The educational aspect of the visit was deeply thought-provoking, making it more than just a day out but a meaningful journey into understanding real history.
To top off the experience, the café at Fulham Palace was very comfortable, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. It provided the perfect spot to relax and reflect after exploring the grounds, with a cosy atmosphere and ample space to unwind. Overall, Fulham Palace offers a perfect blend of beauty, education, and comfort, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in history...

We recently celebrated our wedding at Fulham Palace in March, and it was nothing short of magical. The venue itself is stunning, blending historic charm with picturesque gardens, creating the perfect backdrop for our special day. A huge part of our wonderful experience was due to the incredible team led by Adam Varney. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, Adam and his team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made all the difference, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our day. The catering by Bovingtons was exceptional. They provided a delectable three-course meal that our guests are still raving about. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, adding to the overall elegance and enjoyment of the evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, and we are so grateful to Fulham Palace and everyone involved for making our wedding truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty, history, and outstanding service, Fulham Palace is the...
Read moreFulham Palace is a fairly unexciting building, with an interesting history. Entrance is free. A charming gate house and bridge are the first things that you see. Inside the palace, the volunteers are proud to explain about the various displays of artifacts and the history of the building. There are activities available for children There are two cafes and toilets and a little gift shop. The chapel has a variety of modern wall paintings and plays church music. I found the grounds more interesting. A lovely walled garden, across from the building contains glass houses, orchards growing traditional varieties of fruit and beautiful flower beds. In the middle is a knot garden with a mixture of scented plants, tiny hedges and colourful flowers. There is a stall selling locally grown produce and honey.
Outside the palace grounds is an extensive park, containing a lake and lawned areas, play areas, sports courts and a small, man-made beach for kiddies! It leads down to a stretch of the promenade where you can look across the river.
The park seems to be well...
