I so need to get this park renamed. I have a petition l started over 2 years ago. I still need many more signatures to persuade the council that it's worth taking to public debate.lt deserves a more relevant local name White City Peace park to mark it's association with the Japanese Garden Society who have so generously donated cherry trees, the landscaping for the pond, the rocks and sand spaces not to mention the parade of stone sculptures as you enter the north side from South Africa Way. It could just as easily be named Television Park as it's been adjacent to the BBC studios for over six decades, now mostly used by ITV daytime programmes. The mature trees here are London planes that are lovely winding shapes that when all the leaves are out give ample shade. The willows dip their heads down near to the water's edge to commune with the ducks and drifts of pigeons. It's an historic park that needs to be taken note seriously as th flagship of the area. Tarting up the kids play park is a start. I think it should have a hybrid pagoda, bandstand so we can enjoy live jazz/ classical music or yoga/ Pilates with cover for inclement weather. But who am l to ask, a friend of the park ' by any...

The water was covered in moss, couldn't see anything transparent /clear and not many signs of life save some moorhens and one duck. However there are other birds such as sparrows and finches...
Read moreA hidden gem in the heart of Hammersmith. Close to Shepherds Bush, White City and Wood Lane it means it’s easily accessible. I loved that it is quiet though there’s plenty for the children to do you can also enjoy a nice picnic or sit...
