Came here on a busy saturday afternoon for a vegetarian meal.
The staff here are lovely and have good customer service.
The food however is subpar. We usually love mexican food and thought wahaca sounded great. We got a few vegetarian dishes to share but would not return as it was not good, or not to our taste (which is not their fault). Also the vegetarian options do not offer much in terms of protein, which is disappointing. Food is not spicy at all, which is odd for a mexican offering.
The garden veg taco was massively undercooked -the veg was half cooked and was difficult to eat...we barely got thorigh one taco between both of us. Im hindsight we should have sent this dish back.
The Mushroom and feta taco was odd tasting. It tasted unbalanced and the musshrooms did not taste fresh in my opinion.
The sweet potato taquito was served half cold, but was probably the best dish that we had. It was crunchy, creamy and the flavours were well balanced
The sweet potato bravas were cooked well but nothing to write home about.
The virgin mojito was yummy. Tap water is served in old tequila bottles.
Upon entering there is a sink that offers soap and water. There is also a hand sanitiser station that is activated with a foot pedal. The staff wear the face shields but...
Read moreWent back to Wahaca after a couple of years. Always thought it was an average place to eat but they have changed some of their menu, and it’s become one of my favourites now.
Sara at the Westfields, White City Branch, was the best hostess. She recommended pretty much everything we ate, and they did NOT disappoint.
We were with two kids (who only eat vegetarian food), and tend to only eat pasta oor pizza. They at the cheese quesadilla kids meal, and ate every last crumb of the plate. Served with healthy portion of quac, salad and nachos.
Just like that, this has become one of my favourite places to eat.
Food I ate was the pulled beef gringa taco, buttermilk fried chicken taco, cauliflower bites, chorizo quesadilla. All was perfect.
Dessert was the churros with chocolate dip (of course), and the tiramisu. Tiramisu was super sweet.. if you like that. I think with the churros, maybe too much.
We had a voucher for kids to eat free and with service the bill came to £86.00 for two kids meals and two adults. We all left feeling very full and satisfied.
Thank you Sara for your great service and great...
Read moreIt was a big disappointment this time. I'm a regular at Wahaca and tend to recommend to others, but I visited this branch yesterday and the food was a big let down. I ordered frijoles con chorizo and they were very salty. When the waitress took it away she asked me if I was finished with it and I said, yes, I couldn't eat it as not nice too salty. She just said OK. I also ordered beef brisket tacos and one of them had a massive chunk of fat itvwas a bit disgusting. I took it out and left on the plate but no one seemed to care or ask me about the quality of the food. The final straw was I ordered the churros and two of them were so overcooked that they could have broken my teeth. Yet again, no one asked about it!!!. I was also so surprise they don't give you any more courtesy spicy sauce. If you want a bit of spice you need to order a trio of salsas!!!.
All in all I was so disappointed I don't think I'll be back or recommended again. Sad as I used to...
