Decent place to go if you’re not a local. The security guy at the door is completely inhuman, unreadable, unrealistic and just an out right disgusting person. I was physically assaulted few tripping over their own plant pot under the excuse that I was too drunk after only having a pint and a half. I’m been a local to the area for 25 years, I’m known for my cool headed fair approach but this guy clearly has a chip on his shoulder. And when I tried to talk to the actual staff expecting them to have any human decency they wouldn’t even acknowledge me. Ofcourse I called the police and agreed that what he did was assault but refused to do anything because they’re so under budgeted by our conservative government. Welcome to London and welcome to the sindecome social, once the best pub in Shepherd’s Bush now your better off going to belushi’s at least there you know that common decency doesn’t exist. Also shout out to Australian with the mullet who’s an absolute melt and has no integrity. There’s right and wrong in this world and the way they treated me and my date was closer to being in dystopian world rather than the free. Final words: big man at the door.. I’ll see you soon xxx
Update as I can’t seem to reply to you but it’s very interesting to see how many reviews directly point out the rudeness and overly aggressive nature of your security guard. And just to clarify, I’m not a child there was no threat I live on the same road as you so inevitably I will have to see him again. As for your attempt at wit or whatever by accusing me of being a bad actor, that is actually disgusting, I have a degenerative disease in my hip and it’s very easy for me to loose balance, especially when unexpectedly shoved. As for your body cam unless your blind you clearly see me calmly explain I’m not intoxicated and that I stumbled on the side plant as I smoked a cigarettes too fast, any adult that smoked a cigarette in their life knows how that can knock you off balance, it happens to me regularly as I’m not a chain smoker. I understand your need to defend your staff and try and save face but to then come out and try to defame my character and integrity as well as call me a liar on your little review reply says a lot. You even try to call me a liar when in reality the member of the public got involved after witnessing the assault done by your staff, not before. Even to the point they repeatedly asked me if I was ok, which I might add not one of your staff did while still insisting I was on your property. Regardless surely a patrons health and safety should of been of concern especially when up until that point all that happened was a conversation? I find your whole handling of this comical honestly and your reply lacks any sort of professionalism what so ever. And if you’ve listen to the audio so diligently then the beginning started with the security questioning if I’d even been inside, as if all my stuff and my friend weren’t sitting right there watching it unfold. I admit I might have spoken to him defensively due to his unfounded accusations but never once did I threaten or become aggressive towards him, that was instigated purely by him. Is that how you...
Read moreA Stellar Experience Thanks to Sofija – The Heart of The Sindercombe Social
I don’t usually write reviews, but after the experience I had today at The Sindercombe Social, I felt genuinely compelled to share just how incredible the service was—especially thanks to one of the bartenders, Sofija.
From the moment I walked in, Sofija stood out with her warm, welcoming energy. She greeted everyone with a bright smile that immediately set the tone for the evening. The bar was fairly busy, but despite the crowd, she managed everything with a calm professionalism and an upbeat attitude that never faltered.
What really struck me was how attentive she was—not just to me, but to every guest at the bar. She remembered drink orders with ease, offered great recommendations (including a cocktail I wouldn’t normally try but absolutely loved), and always made sure glasses were never empty for too long. There’s something really special about a bartender who can juggle a full bar and still make each customer feel seen and taken care of.
Sofija also had that rare combination of speed and precision. Watching her work was like watching a well-rehearsed performance—shaking cocktails with confidence, pouring pints perfectly, and navigating the bar space like a true pro. Even when things got hectic, she never lost her composure. Her presence added a personal touch to the whole experience and brought a real sense of warmth and hospitality that you don’t always find, especially in busy London bars.
She also has a fantastic sense of humor and great conversation. It’s clear that she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that passion shows in how she interacts with everyone. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, she makes you feel right at home.
The Sindercombe Social has always been a favorite spot of mine for its vibe, music, and drinks, but Sofija elevated the experience to a whole new level tonight. It’s people like her who make you want to come back again and again—not just for the drinks, but for the feeling that you’re more than just another customer.
So if you're ever at The Sindercombe Social, do yourself a favor and grab a drink from Sofija. You'll not only get great service—you'll get a genuinely memorable experience.
Five stars,...
Read moreQuite possibly the best Old Fashioned, and definitely the worst nachos ever made. Down the block from my hotel, this was rated as one of the better area pubs. The football game was playing on many screens and the back bar looked well stocked...so this is the place that I chose. The service was middling at best, with only one of the three bar staff acknowledging me when I asked about seating...the rest I had to beg for attention to order, for a napkin, etc. Never offered a receipt. When I asked for one, he said sure and never came back to me...no receipt, no asking about the food, nothing about another drink. Nothing. Nada. Zip. The reason I didnt give one star: I ordered an Old Fashioned and will say it was one of the best I've had...well balanced and smooth. It was a real surprise and this drink. That being said... the nachos were singularly the worst concoction that I've ever experienced. Admittedly, I'm spoiled by living in California and the abundance of exceptional Mexican food... but these were dreadful. A miniscule amount of cheese on oversized flour tortilla chips (which should always be corn based), with large scoops of sour cream, flavorless pico de gallo, and a disappointingly bland guacamole (just smashed avocado with nothing added). Then, inexplicably was sprinkled with what I believe was paprika. It was worse than it sounds and after an entire day or not eating.. I did my best and ate the innermost part of the chips that had a touch of cheese. I gave up after barely finishing half out of sheer hunger.
I whole heartedly recommend skipping the nachos and reduce your expectations...
