The W12 Shopping Centre, also known as West 12 Shepherd's Bush, is in the heart of Shepherd's Bush, London. While often overshadowed by its much larger and more glamorous neighbor, Westfield London, W12 serves a crucial role for the local community, offering a more practical and accessible shopping experience.

Location and Accessibility: Prime Spot: W12 is well-located, directly opposite Shepherd's Bush tube station and close to Shepherd's Bush Green. This makes it highly accessible via public transport. Parking: It offers convenient and affordable parking, a definite plus for those driving, particularly compared to the often pricier options at Westfield. Accessibility in the centre: The centre generally has good accessibility, with flat routes, lifts, and disabled toilets. Some tenants like Boots and Dark Sphere also specifically mention their accessibility features.

Shops and Services: Practicality over Luxury: Unlike Westfield, W12 focuses more on everyday needs and value. You'll find a strong presence of essential retailers. Key Tenants: Major tenants include: Supermarkets: Lidl and Sainsbury's are big draws, offering grocery shopping convenience. Fashion and Homeware: H&M and M&S. Health and Beauty: Boots, Specsavers, and The Fragrance Shop. Electronics and Games: CeX and Dark Sphere (a large tabletop gaming store with a gaming area and events). Value Stores: Poundland, One Below. Leisure: A 12-screen Vue Cinema is a major anchor, along with a gym and Belushi's pub. Food and Drink: Various coffee shops and restaurants. Other Services: It also houses a local library and a post office, adding to its community utility. Atmosphere and Experience: Community Feel: W12 tends to have a more local and relaxed atmosphere compared to the bustling, often tourist-heavy Westfield. It feels less like a destination for a "day out" and more like a convenient place to...

We visited the shopping centre in London W12, located in Hammersmith, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This shopping haven offers an array of brand shops that any girl would dream of, making it a must-visit destination for fashion enthusiasts and casual shoppers alike.

One of the highlights of our visit was the impressive selection of skincare stores. From high-end boutiques to well-known brands, the variety was fantastic. Whether you're searching for luxurious face creams, the latest in skincare technology, or natural beauty products, this shopping centre has it all. The staff in these shops were knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

The Gucci and Prada wing of the shopping centre was the most impressive. This area exuded luxury and sophistication. It was a treat to browse through the collections, even if just to admire the craftsmanship and elegance of the items on display.

We also enjoyed the coffee shops around. Each offered a cosy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for taking a break and recharging before continuing our shopping spree.

The shopping centre boasted ample toilet facilities, which were clean and well-maintained. Additionally, the parking situation was convenient and affordable, with a fee of only £12 for nearly five hours of parking. This made our visit stress-free and enjoyable from start to finish.

Overall, the shopping centre in London W12, Hammersmith, is a true gem. With its wide range of shops, luxurious high-end wing, and excellent amenities, it provides a perfect shopping experience. I highly recommend a visit for anyone looking to indulge in a day...

The shopping centre send to be reinventing itself as an event space. There is now a Sherlock-themed escape room. I went to a 3-month pop-up attraction by the makers of Captain Morgan rum. They have converted the underground car park into an artificial pool complete with islands and boats. The theme is pirates including a Johnny Depp-like Captain Morgan himself. The tickets allowed us two free drinks (one not very nice cocktail at the start and another generous punch bowl that we customised during the attraction). After going to the basement for the first drink, we were led blindfolded to the boating area. Then with a map we were allowed to row to the various islands to collect ingredients for our drink at the end... Such as a spice (cinnamon, star anise, etc), juice (pineapple or others), fruit (lemon, lime), etc. Different actors will interact with you at most of the stops. The props and the activities could have been much better (e.g. Crystal Maze style challenge/puzzles or having more decorations or foliage around the edges and ceiling so it's less obvious that you're in a dimly lit car park) but the actors were enthusiastic and cheerful.

It's the original - but less well known - shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush. Much smaller and older than the nearby Westfield, yet it serves the needs of the local community very well. There are a wide range of shops on the ground floor, including supermarkets, fast food places, chemists and a few discount shops. On the first floor, there is a pub, a Chinese buffet restaurant, a children's activity centre, a gym and a cinema. There are lifts and escalators to both floors. This is not really a shopping destination on its own, especially when Westfield is just across the road, but it's quite handy if you just need to quickly buy a few items.
