The Deer and Grounds are Amazing and the Greenkeepers are Great at their Job and I used to help them, But ......... It was a nice place to work until January when golfers seemed to lose interest due to the cold - No need for Marshals (My Job), plus using my other skills where possible to help elsewhere (Qualified Greenkeeping), which others now employed are unable to do - nothing till March which is not what I was promised. My colleagues have disappeared and I am being messed about with shifts and job descriptions, then hours cut once again, then finally finished and reported to HR. Problem is often too many golfers on the course at the same time caused by overbooking and not checking people's handicaps when booking !! - Blamed on Marshals for slow play but it's not their fault: - New ones won't solve it !! - Gaps can be sorted !! - Beginners can be bypassed !! NO ROOM => TOTAL STOP => MORE COMPLAINTS !! IMPOSSIBLE TO SOLVE ?? MANAGEMENT ISSUES !!

I visited here twice, once to plan a wedding shoot and secondly for the actual wedding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The wedding was to be in the function room upstairs which isn’t very bright but has a nice ambiance. If shooting a function you will definitely need additional lighting. One thing to note is that the walk from the main road through the grounds to the actual club is very long so unless you’re having a leisurely stroll, driving is advised. Trying to leave the grounds at night via uber was also difficult as at night the entrance gates look like they are closed. There are also no lights from the club to the street. I was advised not to walk at night as if I started a deer, I may end up getting antlers to the face. The grounds are beautiful and I would definitely visit again to explore and take more pictures.

Played in a society ... unique backdrop again the local royal park/gardens and with all the deer. The course played quite long off the back tees and was an decent challenge with that and the hole approach set-up. Greens are in great condition and true with a nice modern clubhouse and putting green, practice area and grass-range. A fair few bunkers were under repair with massive metal cages protecting them from the deer. Made for some interesting approaches on some holes navigating over/around them. Also personally prefer more par 3’s over the par fours (only 2) and they were somewhat similar/unmemorable. Overall good experience and would go again when the bunkers are repaired.

I looked forward to go to a wedding as a close family member here but was very disappointed. People sitting in the marquee were happy and it was good. But half of the guests had to be on the patio as they didn't fit in the marquee. You can't have people sitting on the patio in October. It was freezing cold . Even with heaters it was just too cold to sit outside. And no lights after 18: 00 at the patio . Really??? You couldn't even see what you were eating .We were allowed to sit inside in a very small space ( small part of huge coffee shop) but that was just horrible. It did not feel like a wedding . It was like sitting cramped in a coffee shop or a staff canteen. A disgrace. I really did not expect that from a wedding venue . On their wedding brochure they are advertising 150 people in a marquee for 5000£ and that is the price for wedding a season in July August and September. October should have been cheaper . But they charged same price +950 for using external caterer. The marquee fits only 70 . That is less then half of what they advertise. What happened at this wedding I wonder? The manager who the couple dealt with clearly was incompetent and taking advantage of a young couple excited about their big day. And on the day she was just rude even to the father of the groom . No manners ! A manager saying' not my problem' is just unacceptable. And the other problem is we looked forward to see the deer . And it was beautiful BUT arriving at the venue there was a big sign saying deer cull in progress. I found that disturbing. I understand they have to do that but the venue should not have weddings at this time of the year. This is just not a good place for a wedding in October. Avoid at all costs is what I say about my experience. Horrified that was my experience. And I really hope the owners read this review and the couple should get a refund as it ruined the day for the immediate family and friends.

Your reply does not address the issues. The problem was not the food. The best thing about the whole event was in fact the external caterer. The issue was that the golf club was closed to golfers because of the extreme weather but you thought it was acceptable to expect wedding guests to sit outside in dark, (no lights on the terrace) cold and windy conditions in their glad rags! The inside area that we were allowed in was not big enough for the guests that were on the terrace with some taking turns to sit down and others being told by YOUR team that they are not allowed in the area that your staff cordoned off. The fact that your team did not provide food does not mean that the issues are not your teams fault. The venue was booked direct with you and your events coordinator at rates that are much more than what you currently advertise. My review is correct and accurate and your asking for it to be removed is quite...

Avoid this place at all costs!!!

On Thursday 4 May 2023 my daughter and fellow classmates had their 6th form school leaver’s party at Hampton Court Golf Club. Approximately 120 students and teachers attended. Upon arrival there was no water available in the bathroom toilets, which quickly degenerated into a disgusting state, as you might expect with 120 guests using unflushable toilets. (Ironic considering how much water golf clubs waste keeping their precious greens watered!).

The ‘party’ food was almost inedible, consisting mainly of dried up mini-burgers, sausage rolls and cheap pizza slices. My daughter took some home to show me and I have to say that I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Photo attached below.

The management announced that the venue would close early due to health and safety concerns, so all the guests were left outside for an hour earlier than expected waiting for prearranged taxis and lifts.

The students had obviously been looking forward to this event for some time, being for most of them their last chance to get together for a proper celebration before leaving school, so they were extremely disappointed. I can only think that the venue management treated this as a cynical opportunity to make a large profit from a group of people least likely to complain. The venue charged £45 per student, raking in a total of approximately £5,400 for the 120 guests. No drinks were included..these were charged at full price.

Postscript: To their credit, the venue subsequently offered the students free use of the venue for another party, but the school management turned this offer down (presumably they couldn’t be bothered) and instead have asked for a £10 refund per student for the early closure and disgusting state of the toilet facilities. Needless to say, the students are extremely unhappy about this and consider it completely inadequate recompense for a...

We had our wedding early July 2021, just when the government had relaxed the rules slightly to allow safe venue capacity.

I cannot give Clare enough praise for the amount of work and help she gave us to make our wedding day as special as it was.

She took over helping to plan our wedding earlier on the year and was extremely helpful and flexible. Clare and Dave were always there when you had a question and you never felt like you were asking too many. They catered to all our needs and ensured we had a special day. They venue is beautiful, especially after its renovations. Clare had laid out all the tables and done all the chair covers herself which meant it was easy for us to set up the day before and there was a lot less stress.

The food was exquisite. Every guest commented on how good the food was, which I know is hard when you are cooking for 60 people. Even the BBQ food in the evening was scrumptious and there was plenty of it, our guests did not go hungry.

The waiters/waitresses and bar staff were extremely friendly and helped out when they could.

I honestly could not recommend this venue enough. Not only were the grounds amazing but the staff were too.

We had to change our date 3 times due to covid and they were so flexible and accommodating and never asked for extra money etc which helped ease a lot of stress.

We are so grateful for everything they did, they truly did help make our wedding day amazing.

Please, if you are looking for an amazing wedding venue, with friendly and helpful staff then...
