Brilliant, fun, adventurous and unique. My three (4, 9 and 11) all found something for them and were having non-stop fun.

You can tell how much thought has gone into it, from the little (arguably pointless) buggy/scooter bridge over the drain channel to the rotating thing on the downspout which would only work in the rain.

The wooden structures were made by someone who clearly listened to kids and thought ‘no, a bridge between a slide and a climbing thing isn’t good enough’. Cue holes, interesting ways to ascend, platforms on angles, holes to climb in, challenging slides, and more.

The zip line is beautiful between two redwood trees, but with ample space. The two swinging ropes over a dip are a fun addition - though smaller kids might struggle to get down to them from the entrance. And the long hanging swinging rope is surprisingly stable.

Despite being a playground with safe/squishy landing areas, it feels like it’s in the middle of a wildlife meadow. In many cases this is beautiful, taking a leaf from Greenwich park’s playground, but it also has the same pitfall that it’s easy to lose shorter kids. Maybe time for a sensitive trim?

Speaking of which, due to excitement, you’ll likely miss the eco space on the right as you come in, give it a moment to pause to see big hotels, a wildlife space and more.

Unsurprisingly to any parent who has been to a park with a ‘water feature’, they don’t work / have been turned off for winter / etc. Expect the usual disappointment but this isn’t a big deal as the rest of the park is so much more interesting!

There are toilets, one accessible and one regular (someone seems to have scratched off the ‘women’ symbol), though neither of them had any soap. The rest of park is also accessible...

Holland Park Adventure Playgrounds is a fantastic spot for young children to play and explore. I visited with 5-year-old, and we had a wonderful time. The playground is thoughtfully designed with areas suitable for different age groups, including safe, age-appropriate climbing structures, slides, and sand play zones.

The environment feels very natural, with lots of greenery and shaded areas, which is great for sunny days. Children especially enjoyed the little wooden playhouses and the soft play areas. There’s plenty of seating for parents nearby, making it easy to relax while keeping an eye on the kids.

The park itself is well-maintained, and there are clean restroom facilities close by. It's also great that you can combine a visit to the playground with a walk in the beautiful surroundings of Holland Park, including the Kyoto Garden.

If you’re looking for a safe and engaging outdoor activity for young children, this playground is definitely...

The playground is still open although we are in lockdown. I was surprised to see how busy it is considering the situation but then I suppose that there are not many places for bored kids to go! The playground itself is great - aimed more for the older kids 5+ (there is another playground in the park for the young ones). Situated nextdoor to the Holland park ecology centre (restricted opening times) it was recently revamped and landscaped last year and is weathering well. The new design is great - lots of wood and natural backdrops - fantastic equipment like climbing frames, a zip wire, snake swing, basket swings, sea-saw, sand play area and water/ wet play in the summer. Tunnels and slides - what more could a kid ask for?!? Oh there's also handy toilets on site with baby changing facilities and seating for adults (some picnic tables)... I love this...

We love the newly refurbished Holland Park Adventure Playground. We visit it quite frequently, as its opened much later than Diana playground and its less busy during school holidays. This park is more suited for above 5 years old. For younger kids there is another playground nearby closer to the cafe. The toilets need regular maintenance though; most of the time only one is functioning and this is a newly refurbished toilets. One part of the slide has not been fixed since early opening days; we managed to play on it when it was newly opened before someone vandalised it. other than that the kids enjoyed the park very much.
