If you, like me, are a budget conscious tourist then this is an ideal hotel. For me, provided a place is clean, warm with a reasonably comfy bed I am happy. The Ravna Gora certainly fulfilled these criteria. My son and I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel, my son having booked it to take me to London as a present. The staff were friendly and welcoming; as soon as we walked into the light and airy reception I noted it smelt clean and fresh - a good sign. We were too early to check in but had asked to come and drop our luggage. When we booked in later we found the room clean and tidy. They do, I believe, have en-suite rooms although we didn’t book one so it was a shared bathroom although there was a little vanity basin in the room. I haven’t had a shared bathroom in a hotel for some time and so I was a bit apprehensive but it fine - the bathroom was always clean, and we never had to wait for it. Plenty of hot water and towels changed daily. The room was pleasantly warm. The location was absolutely brilliant. Literally two minutes from Holland Park tube station, five minutes walk to Notting Hill Gate. Holland Park itself was five minutes away and if you are happy to walk a bit, within walking distance of Kensington Palace and Gardens, Hyde Park and the museum area in Kensington. I really liked the area as it felt very safe to walk around at night. Plenty of places nearby to eat at. We paid £80 a night and I think this was excellent value. I’ve noted some of the recent poor reviews - all I would say is don’t book a budget friendly hotel and expect The Ritz! They could put fridges in every room and fresh flowers everywhere (just some of the complaints made) but then the prices would be a lot higher! A few people have mentioned traffic noise - you are in a city, buy earplugs - I happen to love listening to traffic on a night so this didn’t bother me. If I visit London again any time soon I would definitely...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel in London with my girlfriend for a delightful six-night stay. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms. Initially, we opted for a room with a shared bathroom, and later on, we moved to a room with a private bathroom. Both accommodations were impeccably clean and provided us with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
One aspect that truly stood out was the remarkable level of service we received from the hotel staff. They were consistently polite, attentive, and willing to assist us with any inquiries or requests we had. Their warm and welcoming demeanor truly enhanced our overall experience.
Furthermore, we were delighted to find that the hotel's location offered convenient access to transportation options. The bus station, conveniently situated right in front of the hotel, allowed us to easily explore different parts of the city. Additionally, the nearby tube station, a mere 2-3 minutes' walk away, provided us with quick and efficient transportation throughout London.
Overall, our stay at this hotel was exceptional, and we eagerly look forward to the opportunity to return in the future. The combination of clean and comfortable rooms, outstanding service from the staff, and transportation options made our experience truly memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a delightful and hassle-free...
Read moreLocation - W11 great for personal reasons however- the noise from the constant traffic, police sirens, drunk people shouting - I did not sleep at all. The windows are singular glazed and do not shut properly. The bed was a bunch of springs and my back was killing from tossing and turning constantly.
Brown crusty stains on the bedsheets- I also itched all night.. No idea what that was about but from the other reviews IT SOUNDS LIKE BED BUGS. The bed was right next to the radiator so I was sweating one minute- had to open the window- which let more noise in and then had to shut it because of how loud it was.
Tv didn't work- loss of signal constantly, my iphone worked better not connected as opposed to connecting to their unstable WIFI. I don't understand the sink in the room, if there's a shared bathroom- I mean there's no kettle to make coffee so what is the point in that. A long mirror above the sink, but could of had that hanging on the wall so I could check my whole body when dressing. I had to stand on the bed to see how I looked..
Breakfast dining area, is so outdated and the food was processed. It was like going back in time and I just did not expect that from looking at the outside.
its 2025- time for a refresh I think.
I really wanted to like this place as it was great location for where I need to be at the moment with being a musician but I was exhausted and felt dirty...
