Menana Spa — Attraction in London

Went here for a New Years treat with my mum, same as a couple of years ago. We booked a hammam treatment 70 mins and were warmly welcomed, remembered from before by the lovely owner and taken into the little treatment area. NB it’s all underground and the hot room is pretty small so not great for people with space issues - especially with 2 therapists in there with you. But we loved it and they were very respectful, gave us little boxes for our things and took care with water temp etc. The decor is amazing too, beautiful tiles and scented candles it. The hammam is basically wet hot room, soap soak, optional hair wash (Mum thought this wasn’t great last time as we have serious hair so we opted out), scrub with gloves and a lot of rinsing, then an oil massage for about 15 mins after. They have 2 rooms for the massage bit and the owner Menana is better on the scrub & massage than her other lady. I recommend telling her to be firmer if you need! She’s also a bit shyer with English too so I wasn’t always clear which way to turn etc. but very friendly! We came out relaxed, clean and feeling fab. We have been going to menana spa for several years and my experience has always been amazing! Dont agree with one of the reviews below-If you ask for a hair dryer they would have provided one- staff are always accomodating!! My husband and I are tall people and we always feel comfortable in Spa as it takes 2 people and is very private which is what we love. We always book for 90mins hammam as the massage is full body and deep and the massage beds always fit us perfectly. Our belongings are always safe as it's only us in the hammam and room. It is never booked or shared with other people. Can't wait to come for our hamam...

Pros: the place is clean and smells nice. Good location for Chiswick residents. Relaxing music.

Cons: poor customer service. The lady in the hammam rubbed my bikini with a glove and basically ruined it. They don't have professional massage beds. The back massage left me with aching muscles. There are no changing rooms and no lockers available, I had to store my stuff in a plastic basket on the floor. They didn't offer me a hair dryer at the end of the treatment, so I ended up walking home with my...
