Beautiful and tranquil hidden gem. Has a wee playground, mature trees, ornate green iron gates were installed in 2013 along with a lovely brick design water feature. Dog friendly. Originally owned by Lambeth Palace it was given to the people of the village of Lambeth in the 16th century as a graveyard and consecrated in 1705, in connection to St Mary at Lambeth (now the Garden Museum). By 1853 it was closed as a cemetery. In 1884 the gravestones were removed and made into it's perimeter walls (which are now grade two listed) and it became a public garden space. The park has a water feature that runs in the summer, a small kids play park and numerous benches and other places to sit.
