Attended the Botanical Bundle ‘dyeing with plants and flowers’. It was a two hour Workshop. Facilitated by artist Renata Minoldo. Never having tried to do anything like this, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was pretty awesome! Good sized group of friendly people. All materials and equipment provided. Renata was organised, hands on and excellent at making sure all participants were involved had her attention when needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. Feel inspired to get ‘stuck into’ further creations using the Botantical Bundling technique. Only critique is that the ‘mindful walk’ in wildflower meadow to gather items to use in our creations didn’t happen. It was mentioned in the information. It was a lovely idea but must say that the two hours flew by, so I don’t really think the walk would be possible to fit into that time slot. As for the gardens themselves that are a revelation, words cannot convey what a wonderful space they have created. Absolutely worth every penny! 5***** from me!

Even though it’s mid-renovation, this is a really interesting place to visit if you are a gardener or interested in sustainable growing. Big shout out to the young man who gave me directions and more importantly such a great welcome on arrival. And try the lavender cordial! Photos 1. Dried alliums in a border 2. The vegetable garden - circular raised beds with metal edging 3. A frieze recycled from Leo’s supermarket in Falmouth is a backdrop to the grass amphitheatre

Omved has many interesting offbeat events. We went to see an interesting exhibition by Vivienne Schadinsky, which we enjoyed. We like what they have done with what was once a garden centre. I loved the zucchini bread at the cafe. Too bad you can't visit the cafe without buying a ticket to an event.

There’s a magical spot in North London called Omved Gardens. A reclaimed green space where nature, art, architecture, and sustainability come together. Stepping into Omved feels like leaving the city behind. Greenhouses, organic gardens, wooden minimal buildings—so calm and peaceful. It’s not just a garden. They host art events, workshops, exhibitions, and talks about the environment and conscious living. To me, Omved isn’t just a place— it’s a reminder that beauty, creativity, and nature can...
