A small rebuilt over the centuries from its original in the mid 1500s. A chapel to the hospital of St Bartholomew from when it was a monastic endeavour. The church is the parish church to the chapel and chapel of ease to the former priory church of St Bartholomew the great. The in her plaques recall its support to the hospital through various surgeons nurses and other clinical persons and administrators. It has two war memorials in the form of stainglass windows. The east window was replaced due to war damage. It is a quiter church then its near by counterpart and has reqular Anglican services and a weekly catholic Mass. Read moreOn my way to my appointment, I stopped here to have some time with God. I found it very peaceful here, you could feel the history of this chapel. I walked around afterwards reading plaques, tributes etc. It's a very small building, I could imagine hospital staff centuries ago, being here and praying during wars etc. I've been to the hospital before but never ventured into here. For me, it was so needed and I felt at peace after I left. Worth a visit if you love history, and/or a believer in God.
