I really enjoyed my visit to this gallery because I liked the combination of fine art and more abstract sculptural pieces. I thought that the work displayed in the exhibition was really different as they had unique colours and textures, as well as having original concepts. The work displayed was very modern and was produced by modern artists, who weren’t famous but still had very interesting and unique styles. However I didn’t like the lighting in the exhibition as I thought it was too harsh, and I thought that softer lighting would have been more appropriate for the gallery. I would recommend the exhibition to anyone interested in contemporary art and in supporting emerging artists because of the carefully curated pieces on display. Form the exhibition, I learnt about the power of concepts in art, and how even the most complex message can come through in a piece of art.
