Awesome place to skateboard. If your a beginner then it's a great place to start as it has slopes/ramps with different sizes in different areas if you want to test yourself from easy to elite. You can even sit and watch as their is 2 benches inside the skatepark. It has a wide open space so you shouldn't bump into people. I went when it wasn't as busy so I can't say what it looks like when it's busy with many people but I do think if your able to dodge and do your thing then I see no issue in trying it out yourself.

... an ICONIC skate and BMX spot, first built in the late 70's and then re-covered (literally covered) with 6inches of new concrete and remoulded in the 2000's, adding a corner bowled section, so here's a picture of the original "pink" version ... it's BRIXTON so always be on the look out, but generally a good vibe there and right near some good pubs for a pint after the session ... just for the locals it's YNOT, the Brixton Pirate, doing the gap into "the sausage" ...

It is extremely fun to go to and ride a bike, or use a skateboard here. The surface has recently been redone and it's very smooth and undulating. There are many routes you can take, steep and less so. People are friendly and everyone is aware of who else is using the space so collisions are avoided. Good for beginners and more experienced riders alike!

Caution: There is an organised group that take over the bowl area some mornings. There are recruiters belonging to spiritual influencer realm and social media marketing and finance sector, claiming to heal followers with supernatural powers and chakra stuff for money. The ringleaders and their buddies have various schemes and have aggressive measures in-place to protect their hidden interests. There are things and signs of occurances I cant speak about here and appears to have a strong pack mentality and no moral code inside. You may see them rolling around on Surf-skate skateboards and taking photos for instagram fronting as a group of skateboarders. If you or see someone approached be mindful of this - do proper research before being seduced.

There are also reports of theft of possessions left around the edges of the park from thieves. Mainly bags, equipment etc. which some people tie or lock away from...

Brixton skateboard park is just down the road from me and I've lived here for over 20-years and in them 20 years it has upgraded a bit it has been painted with graffiti a few times and the surfaces have been renewed and it is very popular not just for Brixton and surrounding that people from all over London get on the public transport with their skateboards for their skates and come to Brixton skateboard park my children had a good time down there on their skateboards and their bikes or you could just sit on the...
