The interior is worth a visit on it’s own, with loads of colourful wall murals, beautiful bar set ups, and even mural lined bathrooms! If you were half asleep when walking in, you’ll be fully awake after a stroll through here with the feeling that you have stepped into the Caribbean. Before even getting into the food, let me just say that the staff are absolutely lovely! They were genuinely warm and friendly, something which is hard to find these day. We were like friends coming into their home and you could tell they cared to know about us and that we had a good time. Even if the food had been terrible, our experience would have been great. Thankfully though, the food was just as good as the decorations and the staff. Today was all about their amazing brunch menu which you can include bottomless drinks such as sunrise bellinis with. This is available Saturday and Sunday and is only £27 per person. Otherwise, brunch dishes start from just £7.5, but don’t let the low prices fool you, the food is great! We ordered a selection of items as brunch is two meals in one, so you need to fill up! We had the Big Kingston Gill Down which came with Jerk bacon, spicy sausage, mushrooms, curried chickpeas, tomatoes, grilled rote and eggs which I had poached (you can have them any way you like). I really loved the sausages, which we also had in the Roti Sausage wrap, another amazing choice! The curried chickpeas really surprised me they weren’t what I would normally have for breakfast, but they were great. Also, the roti instead of toast with breakfast was perfect. The star of the show for me was the Honey Bunny Yardbird which was a stack of roti, buttermilk fried chicken, cream cheese, all covered in maple syrup. This is was everyone must order on their visit! I’m all about never fearing new, and this was new and amazing! We also were recommended some sides to try, so we go the mac and cheese, which was cheesy and quality, and the spiced Watermelon. I’m a huge fan of watermelon, and I’ve never had it with savoury spices, so anther new flavour for me. I’m all about never fearing new, and this was new and amazing! The food was so good that we even made room for pudding. Yes, dessert at breakfast because we were having that much fun! We had the sticky ginger pudding with ice cream. I love ginger, and this was full of flavour. I’m pretty sure this came out with coconut ice cream, instead of the vanilla on the menu, but it worked as well. Overall, I had really great breakfast at Turtle Beach and would love to return again.

Visited for my brothers 18th on Sunday 21/05/23, table was booked for Bottomless brunch at 1700, and we sat at 1704. Once at the table nobody noticed us, I asked the manager Elga 2x to order drinks and she kept giving me the waiting finger whilst pointing at one of the waitresses? Our first order was taken at 1716 by manager Joe, the restaurant looked busy but they weren’t under staffed. YasminE was ready to take our second round of drinks and at this point the table had 7 of us, she explained that we ALL had to have the same drinks? I was confused so asked for the manager. Joe explained that many other turtle bay branches do this, but that’s false information! I go to turtle bay in Walthamstow all the time sometimes with 5/6 girlies and not once was this implemented. What if some people have allergies and can’t all have the same drinks? They were just very busy and tried to make their work less harder! Then he suggested we go for 241, but we declined! Our food was bought out, but everyone had at least one issue with their food. We had burnt eggs, raw bacon, burnt rice and doughy bread! (Please refer to pictures included). Yasmin P took over our table and from there she made our experience very fun and lively, the drinks we slow at first but once Yasmin P was serving us the drinks were flowing nicely! Thank you Yasmin P! My mum was so disappointed she didn’t want her food anymore, so they removed it from the bill and also Joe gave us £17 off the bill! YasminE and Yasmin P were great but we won’t be returning to this branch again.

If I could give 0 star I would. Went there yesterday and it was a dismal experience. I often go to the Ealing branch which is good and didn't understand why people criticise Turtle Bay....I know why now! As a starter chicken wings came burnt, we sent them back and they came back not burnt but most definitely re-heated and dry inside. I guess they overcooked them to hide this fact. Also the jerk sauce was non existent and watery, nothing to do with what I consistently get in Ealing. Mains steamed snapper was OK but the rice was in lumps and obviously not fresh again!!!! See photo. I wish I took a photo of the burnt wings but at this stage we didn't expect the meal would be like that. We also ordered medium jerk steak which came not burnt but extremely overcooked! To try to make it better I wanted to try one of the table sauces but before I poured it I noticed it was MOULDY inside!!!!! The sweet potato fries came only slightly warm. About the cocktails it's not specific to that branch but they are really not strong, we had so many of them and were not the slightest drunk! Only positive point the waitress was very pleasant but we'll never be back to that branch. If you are looking for good Caribbean food in the area go to Bamboula Kitchen. They may not have a cocktail happy hour but at least they are not watered down and the food is delicious there!

Honestly, completely gone downhill. I used to come here in 2022 when I used to go clubbing at Brixton Electric I used to use this place as my pre-drink because the vibes are always 100 so were the drinks, it was always packed out and staff were amazing.

Yesterday, I went here and it was absolutely appalling. First of all its nowhere near packed out like how it used to be… probably because it’s gone downhill. Walked in it wasn’t that busy at all actually quite empty compared to what it used to be. Got to the door no one seated us for about three minutes was awkwardly standing there and no one noticed us. I went to seat myself only then i was noticed and was told not that they would seat us …to then as taking us to our table made us wait again to sort out the bigger table clearly because it was the one bringing him money. It would’ve made sense to seat us first.

The girl who was our server was thin and tallish she was barely warming and barely greeted us didn’t give give me that welcome at all compared to the rest of the stuff. We were sitting down for ages and no one came to us to ask us if we wanted to order. I had to call her over. My partner ordered A deal, which was two plates and four cocktails for £30. I ordered a cocktail, which was buy one get one free and so did my cousin. She put the Dior my partner had down as everything singular so overcharged him. Food and drink took a very long time to come. To which my Partners meal deal or whatever came which was two plates and his drinks me and my cousin waited on our drinks for about one hour. It was 50 minutes. No one came over to us. There was a guy working there who was actually running around crazy trying to help everyone. The girl who was our server was standing most of the time I was there and chilling with her friends or someone she knew who didn't work there. so I did go up to her and ask her what’s going on with the drinks. I’ve been waiting 40 minutes to which he said they’re sitting on the bar. I’ll bring them over in a bit or something and continue to stand and talk to her friends for another 15-20 minutes. I had to get Up a few times and asked people for whereas our drinks it shouldn’t take one hour to get cocktails. My partner had finished his meal at this point and was waiting on us to get our cocktails. I had to get up twice and ask the girl she’s standing around with her friends. Eventually the guy who was really running around like a headless chicken because he wasn’t getting help came and bought us The drinks. WE WAITED AN HOUR before we got our drinks. I was so irritated that I just wanted to leave I didn’t even want the drinks anymore. All the girl had to do was bring the drinks over to the table. I was telling my partner at this point I can actually carry the drinks over to our table. It’s not a problem. And then, like I said when the bill came, it was 70 something because she had not charged it as a male she charged everything individually which I don’t know if she did on purpose because she saw us a bit irritated with her. Eventually she came over to table bought our drinks. I didn’t even say thank you because it took an hour and it was more like she was on a social night out if anything.

Then a shorter girl came over and obviously Took a payment but she was absolutely lovely. I said to her if you was our server I would’ve been happy she was smiley. She was happy you could tell she liked her job but I just don’t know what happened yesterday. It ruined my mood. I didn’t even wanna go out after that because it was supposed to be a vibe and to enjoy before we hit the club it ruined everyone’s mood. It was so awkward and silent because we was in a Mood. I DEFO WOULDNT GO BACK!! The cocktails weren’t great...

Turtle Bay Brixton is the branch that I have to find myself at if I'm choosing a Turtle Bay Branch. I have been coming to this place for a number of years.

I love this branch especially on a Friday and Saturday night when they have a DJ playing until 1:00pm. There are certain members of staff that I love to catch up with and the moment I walk through the door they know exactly what I want to drink. But at the same time I also love having a conversation with the branch manager who knows me quite well with all good things.

The one thing that I don't like is when head office take popular drinks off the menu. Then as a customer you come in to order that drink and it's no longer available because there is no longer the stock available to make, which can be very disappointing and those are the best drinks for someone that can handle certain alcohol.

If I'm coming to drink cocktails I want something strong I don't want something sweet and fruity that's why I loved the rude boy, pink crush and the ting Wray with the actual can of ting.

I would hope they would put those drinks back on the menu or at least put them back on the secret menu so long time customers know they can still get those drinks when they want them.

Because if I'm now going to pay a Premium price for a cocktail which is what they now charge as I call it premium I then want to know that I can get the drinks that I want rather than something light and fruity and not so strong

if you like spice and can handle pepper also when you get the jerk chicken just pick up a bottle of hot sauce and pour some on your chicken because the jerk chicken is not actual authentic jerk chicken and I always feel that when I go in there to do a takeaway order I end up pouring jerk sauce or hot pepper sauce all over my food so that way once I get home it's got that added extra flavor and the Heat and the spices that I would normally expect when I go to a normal Caribbean restaurant or when I cook food at home

I used to order the chicken wings as a side and as far as I'm concerned they shouldn't be on the menu because I don't expect to order wings and still have feathers all in my wings that is disgusting multiple occasions I've had to send them back.

So if I know I'm going into Turtle Bay to have cocktails with my girls I end up going into the local chicken shop aka Morley's and I get wings and chips to line my stomach before I actually go and have cocktails because I'm not going to pay £5+ for three wings that come out and they're still clucking because they've got feathers...
