Michael helped us tremendously with our surprise adoption of our lovely miniature schnauzer, Chippy. When we first got him, he was quick to bite people and other dogs (often drawing blood) when he got scared, he had no recall, was not apt to listen to many commands at all, and was nearly impossible to walk on the lead as he pulled so much, but was terrified of anyone so much as speed walking near him. He was very nervous and we lacked the training experience or skills to help support him as much as he needed. Michael came to our home and advised us on what we needed to be doing, he answered all of my messages when I over-momed and was nervous I wasn't doing the right thing. When I thought Chippy needed extra exercise and socialisation and took him to doggy daycare with Michael, he was incredible in telling me that this was not what Chippy needed, that he did not need so much exercise (he can be quite lazy now) and he needed to be at home with us, that we just needed more faith in ourselves and our newfound training abilities. Chippy has completely transformed over the past few months, and so have we, as Michael really supported us in feeling confident enough to lead and make Chippy feel safe and supported. We can't thank or recommend him enough! Sam, Santi, and Chippy

My puppy, Marley, was 6 months old when I first met Michael. I was beginning to look for a dog walker or doggy day care for a few days per week, mainly so that Marley could socialise when I went out to work. I was impressed with how quickly he responded to Michael and how welcoming the rest of the pack were. I asked Michael to help me encourage Marley to swim. It didn't take long and now Marley loves to jump into the lake on hot summer days to cool off with his friends. Michael takes the dogs to a variety of parks in the area and he often cycles with them, as long as all the dogs can manage it. The dogs love being at Michael's home and treat it as their own, with it's cosy log fire, spacious garden and tasty bones.

This is our rescue dog who has been with us for the past 2.5 years - she is going to be 10 years old this year. The issue we were having was her pulling on the lead like MAD making walks not that pleasant an experience. Tried training her following videos on YT but with no luck - Enter Michael! Within one afternoon, our dog was walking next to us or behind us and continues to do so - sometimes tries to pull but we have the tools to not allow her to do so thanks to Michael! Now we need to get her socialised and we know where we will get that help! With The Dog Guru Michael - you can teach old dogs new tricks!

I recently had a session with Michael for my little toy poodle Bertie (who's very lively and not very good walking on the lead/barks at cars). I brushed off dog training until now as I thought I'd be able to do it myself or my pooch would grow out of his bad behaviour! What a difference 2 hours with Michael has made.....he taught us both how to adopt clicker training to get Bertie to pay attention, listen to my commands, and generally that good things will happen if he is well behaved. As a result, he's soooo much calmer at home, barks less, sits without being asked, walks a lot better on the lead, and rarely barks at cars now. All ongoing practice, but Michael's technique doesn't just focus on the things you don't like/need to rectify, but almost goes to the root of the issue and teaches you how to get your dog to pay attention to you. The other thing I liked about Michael was he only advocates 1 session, teaches you how to adopt certain techniques and is available on the phone afterwards if you need to ask any questions....he doesn't book you up for multiple sessions just for the sake of it! Well worth the money and almost kicking myself I didn't...

Micheal has been brilliant with my dog Cherry, shes a 5 year old rescue Jack Russell that we have had for over a year, she came from battersea with few behaviour problems. After her previous dog walker said he could no longer take her because of her disruptive behaviour and a with having no luck with her previous dog trainer. I asked for Michaels help. He quickly taught cherry some basic commands within one short training session at our home and gave us some training to do at home. The training was quick and efficient, we saw a difference in her behaviour straight away. After he took her in a few walks over a couple of weeks cherry was playing with other dogs off the lead and has even been able to settle in the car, which she previously wouldn't do. It's been like having a different dog, she is well behaved both in and outside the house. Taking her for a walk is now a pleasure and no longer stressful. She is definitely much more happy and tired being walked off the lead. My only regret is that we didn't see him...
