Mamma Dough - Sydenham — Restaurant in London

Very warm place, kids friendly, love the children crayon sketches were hanged. The pizzas were decent size and bit different good selections, good selection of drinks. However as they say sourdough pizzas doesn’t taste or flavour much as they clam. However they are well made.

Service: service was below average. Only 2 girls when they know it will be busy. Very slow in taking orders and pizza came fast. There was no attention to customers. Very slow in preparing closing cheques to pay bills. We waited on table for almost after finishing. Both girls were busy and were not able to clean our plates after we finished and were clearly not in a position to offer dessert menu. We let the table and had to wait near till for 10 minutes to pay the bill. And the crowed was building as we were leaving.

The burrata was ok but under seasoned and the pesto doesn’t taste as it suppose to and some wired fermented tough leaves were aged which doesn’t compliment the dish.

I totally understand the situation. However it’s the manger/ management issue, not planning well and staffing well on...

What a pizza! a protein packed flavour delight prepared excellently, with care, skill and finnese by a pizza chef who obviously knows where it´s at! Go for the FLORENCE pizza it´s delicious, plus my husband´s pizza PARMIGIANA, of which I tried a slice, was fabulous too. We shared the truffled ceasar salad that being prepared with spinch leaves rather that lettuce made it all the better. Campari spritzes, well made by the lovely Nerea, a caring, helpful and most agreeable waitress, made the meal even more fun. Despite the emptiness of the restaurant the vibe of the place, music and Nerea´s service made the restaurant seem warm, welcoming and lively. We had my son’s 4th birthday party here, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff were so patient and kind with all the little ones — nothing was too much trouble. At one point, they even ran out to the shop to get sweetcorn for a few fussy eaters!

The chef was incredible, keeping the kids engaged and happy while they made their own pizzas, which meant I could actually relax and enjoy the day — a rare treat at a children’s party!
