One of the most beautiful and serene parks I've come across in Putney and possibly London for it's size, right on the river side gives you a beautiful all year round view of the ever changing scene the river creates. Being on a bend, you can see a great deal. One thing being the four barges that are set opposite the park, which house many species of bird. The most common being heron and cormorants. And I'm not kidding, there are plenty to see at all times! Not only is this park perfect for photography, it is a delightful place to run or just walk and take in the fresh air provided by the many tree's, and enjoy all the fluffy doggies that roam around. Read moreDon't play cricket here. quite a nice park, has a cricket pitch in the middle. I was there to play cricket and had to tell quite a few people to sit outside the boundary line but still people kept trying to walk through, one guy just wouldn't listen at all. As for the cricket pitch, its terrible, one ball will bounce over your head, another will roll or if you are lucky keep low, wouldn't call this a cricket pitch at all. many injuries on the day with lots of spray and ice packs. 2 toilets in the park, at least should be happy about that. one of the toilet's lock does not work, both are kind of clean, quite a walk to toilets as its on one side...
Read moreLovely park right on the river with a great view of putney Bridge. Wandsworth Bridge Road, which runs past the park, is nothing more than a carpark these days. Traffic creaping along the road most of the day. Feel sorry for residents as pollution must be really high around here.

Wednesday 17 Jan 2024, stuck on putney bridge road (220 bus) for 45 minutes.
It would seem that trying to get out of southside wandsworth is like trying to get out of a vat of honey with your hands tied behind your back. What is wandsworth council doing...
