Bank holiday Monday. If the manager is reading this, I was the man from the party of 3. The one you attempted to continuously place in the coldest darkest corner of your establishment both downstairs and upstairs.
Upon entry, they could not find our booking.
Manager asked us to sit downstairs as they had no room for us upstairs shisha, that as soon as space became available he would move us upstairs.
Booking for 8.30pm, we were not seated until 8.45pm.
Waited 10 minutes to be given a menu.
When asking the waitress if space is available yet upstairs she responded with “maybe you were late therefore there’s no space for you”. I do not appreciate someone wearing fake fendi trainers accusing me of being late.
Ordered a Ferarro waffle (we asked for crepes but they gave a waffle and informed us after that they have no crepes), $5 milkshake, moussaka, mixed grill and strawberry mojito. Drinks and waffle arrived at 9.20pm.
Waffle was burnt but covered in chocolate sauce to disguise the charred edges. Milkshake came leaking onto the table, did not have any trace of bueno or fererro rocher, just banana and honey.
After asking for the manager at 9.25pm, Mrs fake fendi came and announced in front of everyone “you can go up”. This was after a group who arrived after us were seated upstairs before us.
Customer service was excruciatingly bad. Staff were arrogant, dismissive of basic requests.
Colleague named Ahmad upstairs seated us somewhere nice after requesting with him. He seemed the nicest of the lot. Ahmad if you read this, I have a job offer for you to save you from this failing establishment. I apologise if you are working at a family members restaurant but it is quite terrible.
Food ordered at 9, did not arrive. I checked the clock at 9.40 and I still had no food in front of me. Eventually arrived at 9.57pm.
Shisha arrived at 9.57. Shisha was not started for us, thankfully for my guests I have experience with shisha places so it started. Smoke was nice for the 16 minutes that it lasted. Savacco Magna Carta.
Ahmad is the only thing that makes this establishment worth even 1 star. Else I would strongly not recommend. Please save your time, your money and...

I have travelled the world and know quite a bit about fine cuisine. The food at this restaurant is FABULOUS!! The food menu was just amazing with a varied variety of exquisite Lebanese cuisine. The starters and the main courses were sublime. The drinks are second to none. A few days after our event I went back to the restaurant to meet the head chef and to personally thank him for his hard work. Brilliant!!
The Management helped my wife and I organise my child's 2nd Birthday Party. I recommend that if you have a party to organise then contact the highly professional management at this restaurant. They can organise everything from a photographer, party decorations and the best most delicious cake supplier. We had 30 adult guests and their children attend our birthday party. We had a 18 inch fresh cream/chocolate sponge cake. Delicious!!
I live in Putney, and, if you live in the Chelsea, Battersea, Wandsworth and Fulham areas then this restaurant is perfect for your 'function' needs.
This restaurant is unique because it has it's own private jetty. Our guests absolutely loved the experience of having views of the Thames whilst food was eaten and drinks were served.
I guarantee that my family and I will be regularly dining at this restaurant in the future from now on.
I suggest to anyone that reads my review to immediately make a reservation booking and experience Palm Riverside for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
Words can not describe how happy I am 🙂
Thank you to everyone at Palm Riverside for giving my child the best Birthday and making all our guest leave with big smiles on their faces!!
Thank you...
Read moreIt’s a shame I cannot provide 0 stars. After informing the waiter before placing an order that I have a severe nut and sesame seed allergy, he proceeded to take the order and confirmed that what I had ordered was safe to eat. There was no Allergen menu to confirm this, however the menu didn’t indicate that there were any nuts or sesame seeds on the dishes that I had ordered. I was then served a pastry garnished with seeds, however, the waiter and chef and was unable to confirm what it was and this was NOT INDICATED ON THE MENU. I asked for a freshly cooked pastry without the seeds. My mains then arrived (chicken and rice dish on the same plate), and to my horror, the rice side dish contained pistachio - again this was NOT INDICATED ON THE MENU. I asked the waiter to have a fresh main (chicken and rice side dish without pistachio or any nuts/seeds) prepared, however the waiter was very unwilling, frustrated and reluctant to accommodate this and instead brought me the pistachio contaminated chicken on a different plate. I had to re-emphasise the severity of my allergies and the high risk of anaphylaxis which is potentially fatal. Still, I doubt he as able to acknowledge the potentially fatal risks attached to me consuming the dishes that they had presented to me, despite their reassurance that these dishes do not contain allergens. What is even more concerning is that these allergens were not indicated on their menu - this is not ok! I attempted to call to speak with a manager over the phone earlier today to discuss this matter, however Hamid became very defensive and obstructive about the matter, so that attempt was unsuccessful . I will escalate this matter further externally, as this could have been a potentially fatal experience and I do not want anyone to have to experience this ever. Allergies need to be...
