Great visit around this lovely building with fascinating history. I did a self tour but guided tours are available to book. Typical English museum in that it is all a bit hodge podge (which I like!) and a work in progress. There is even a room where they have all the "to be curated" donations. Could do with some more explanations on some of the items, but we really enjoyed it and found the building absolutely fascinating. The Merchant's House Marlborough is really worth a visit - It shows how a 17th Century prosperous merchant would have lived. The pannelled chamber is stunning and houses their Christmas Shop in the festive season, and the lovely garden is worth a visit in Spring & Summer.
