Read moreI cannot recommend this railway highly enough. I visited with my nine year old nephew in the pouring rain and we easily filled 3 hours. The volunteers are so friendly and helpful, John in the museum is a font of local knowledge and so interesting, my nephew was enthralled with his stories and tales of daring do. We were welcomed into the signal box and watched as our train came into the platform. The carriages are recently refurbished and immaculate on the inside, the ladies in the buffet are charming and offer a good selection of snacks. All in all excellent value for money, and you can use your tickets all day, so plenty of time to potter around the site and soak up the very friendly atmosphere. Make sure you make time to chat, everyone is so enthusiastic and call ahead to make sure the museum and pill box are open - it's a very unique...
Read moreWe took our Grandson here for a ride on the steam train. From the moment we arrived we received a fantastic welcome from Geoff. He helped us park in the yard which was free. We cannot thank you enough for how much you went out of your way to ensure that he loved every minute. The two rides on the steam train were magical too. We’ll be recommending like mad and we’ll back....
