A true locals beach, parking can be problematic during the peak summer season, but all round it’s one of the nicer sheltered beaches in the area!
The pier is ideal if the tide is high and you fancy an easy access swim.
The beach is clean and the sand quality good.
It’s a little walk down from the main road, so might be problematic for someone with mobility issues.
Not entirely ideal for wheelchairs either as the path down is uneven and almost cobbled. (But have seen less abled people traversing it with care)
There are no toilets, so that’s something to bare in mind, the sea is there mind. 👀
Nearest shop is in Flushing itself, so pack drinks and snacks if you’re making a day of it.
Be mindful, the road there is narrow, and shared with residential. So anything bigger than a sprinter sized van will struggle to turn around or reverse back up to a wider section of road near the...
