Fantastic Cocktails, disappointing food and slow service.

The cocktails we ordered upon sitting at our table were absolutely delicious and really well made.

However I had then finished my first drink before any food arrived, we had waited 45 minutes for our starters to arrive at this point.

I was hoping after the wait they'd be worth it, they weren't. The Scallops were only cooked on one side, the ponzu gel on the plate is WAY too salty and over powering, on top of that the chef had chosen to sprinkle sea salt flakes all over the plate, making dish a salty mess, the Pickled Cucumber Ribbons looked like balled up snot on the plate and the prosciutto no where to be found, it looks completely different to the dish they advertise on their Instagram! Although the melon did help to add some sweetness to the dish, but still uninspiring.

Our main courses, my partner had "the fish of the day" which was haddock with a Prawn butter sauce, you wouldn't have even known there was prawns on the dish, the haddock was over cooked and bland, nothing to write home about.

My had the Cod "special" it was tasty, presented nicely. A little bizarre mixture of ingredients on a plate, cod, Parsnip Puree, lentils, Pickled onions and preserved lemon.

Although the cod was cooked perfectly!

I had two very underwhelming side orders, firstly the mixed local vegetables tossed in Salsa Verde, there was no salsa Verde in sight, not a scrap of seasoning on anything and all I basically got was side of over cooked Boiled cabbge with 2 florets of broccoli in it. Secondly the cornish new potatoes with Shallots, garlic & olive oil, again so bland, it certainly did not taste as advertised and not an ounce of salt anywhere! A stark contrast to our starters that's for sure.

Desserts, I had the chocolate Torte with corniche clotted cream, honeycomb and cherry gel. It was absolutely sensational, definitely my dish of the night! It ticked all the right boxes!

My partner had the Eton mess, we wondered how they could they get Eton mess wrong? But oh boy. It was not an Eton Mess, it should be 3 ingredients, Fresh berries, crunchy Meringue and freshly whipped chantilly cream. We got chopped strawberries, crunchy Meringue, then on top what we think to be an under whipped strawberry italian Meringue drooping over it all, it was awful, it tasted like strawberry angel delight out of a packet... then it was drizzled in a bad artificial fake strawberry sauce. Not an Eton Mess in any way shape of form.

Maybe we just caught them on...

We had the most fabulous festive afternoon, we wanted to say a massive thanks to the whole Indidog team who worked so incredibly hard trying their best to fit in the number of people who wanted to enjoy the vibe and hear the fabulous Falmouth Gospel Choir. As soon as we saw that you were holding this event we booked a table to eat for mid afternoon. The Festive Menu was absolutely gorgeous, one of the best eating out Christmas Turkey meals we have had. Even though it was super busy the whole team worked their socks off, weaving through the people with drinks and a smile. We were sat directly behind the couple who have just posted a review and we wanted to share our experience. We were in the restaurant from 2.30 and as it started to fill up people were allowed to stand in certain places and as soon as tables were available they were, in turn, directed to a seat. The couple in front of of us were seated and the lady decided to stand, for a lot of the time she was stood directly in front of our table which meant that my elderly mum couldn’t see anything. We chose not to say anything as we wanted to focus on the lovely music and vibe. To our right was a large table of people and we heard Simon explain that they would need to vacate the table as it was booked from 6.00. The waitress also explained this to us when we ordered our last round of drinks. We could hear Simon explaining to the couple in front of us that the table was booked from 6.00, and this is why no more orders etc could be taken, we heard the whole conversation and it was clear that despite the perfectly reasonable explanation the lady was not at all happy with what she was hearing. It was really sad as it was the Choirs last song and the theme was all about peace and understanding. I wanted to share this perspective as I feel the purpose of a review is to share what you experienced and what I saw was a team working incredibly hard to accommodate as many people as they could whilst balancing the needs of customers that have booked for the...

Chef Dan was a great culinary artist, unfortunately his colleague Simon really let everyone down. Simon made us feel verbally scolded and difficult, talked to us like children and pretty much ruined our special evening. He is not a people person. We had prebooked many weeks in advance requesting a water view and explaining in our large graduation group there would be many vegans and vegetarians. We arrived to be seated as far away from the sea as could be found in the space, and There was only one vegan main course and a single vegetarian starter that could be veganised by serving without cheese. Simon (the boss?) spent several minutes telling us, whilst referring to us by our surnames (no title) saying he liked to speak to us like school children. He said that no other vegans had a problem with it (implyjng we were being difficult). In the end one of our guests asked him to go away as it was apparent how upset everyone was getting. He came back a few minutes later and just made everything even worse. My companions who were from all corners of the world, felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed. If it wasn't the busiest night of the year in town (graduations) we would have gone elsewhere. Eventually chef Dan came out and ery politely suggested a nice option, which turned out to be delicious and beautifully served. Things were getting better until the waiting staff started to clear our drinks when we hadn't finished them. We felt totally rushed. As a born and bred falmouthian who had visited, worked in and run several restaurants in town, this was one of the biggest disappointments in such an important night. 100% will never go back or recommend it despite the food actually being good. A night out is supposed to be a treat and a joy, not a telling off and being made to feel...

Whilst visiting my daughter here in the UK we went to Indidog for breakfast, one of my favourite retirement pastimes. I'm fussy, very fussy and if I have a bad experience I don't do a bad review, I just vote with my feet, I never go back. So, as I'm writing a review here there must be a reason, right? Well, there is and it's a simple review, with a bit of advice. If you're lucky enough to be within ten miles of Indidog and you have the time, make a diversion to this fabulous setting now! The design of the building alone deserves many awards, bit I can't give them. What I can do is say this. 1. The service is excellent. It comes as standard with a welcoming smile. 2. To reiterate the above, the place is fantastic and spotlessly clean. 3. The furnishing and fittings are absolutely perfect for the setting and the seating is very comfortable (truth be known I could have sat there all day). 4. I was there for breakfast, so for me the coffee was going to be a make or break item and it did not disappoint! Try it yourself. Finally, just to say, when I looked at the breakfast menu I thought the price of the 'porridge' looks a bit steep (I love hot porridge for breakfast), but I was going to treat myself. Well, the porridge wasn't overpriced it was absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. Try this place it really is amazing.... Many people add photos of the food they get in restaurants etc. I thought it better to show you the result of having eaten it, as it was sooo good

Great little indie restaurant by the water. Summary: Gorgeous views (outside seating available, but too cold when we visited!) with friendly, attentive staff. Food is a little on the pricey side, but excellent and very filling. Place was clean with a nice atmosphere (plants, rustic feel with the cutlery served in a large tin, etc.). Recommend you reserve a table in advance. Arrived and greeted by friendly staff who was great at giving menu suggestions. Was served promptly and food arrived quickly and hot. Plenty of tables already filled when we arrived for midday lunch. Pictured is the asparagus grilled cheese sandwich - a seasonal item for £9.50 which the smiley staff member convinced me to get for our lunch - certainly didn't regret that recommendation! Delicious! (picture doesn't do the size of the sandwich justice). My friends had the pancakes and eggs benedict and both happy customers too. Note - visited during COVID-19 restrictions, so appreciate the staff had done all they could to make the place safe for customers and staff with a one-way system, that was clearly explained as soon as we entered the place, and space around all tables to keep to social distancing rules. We booked a table, having visited the previous day and told they were full and there would be a 30 minute wait.
